So I finished it! And really enjoyed the story. Thankfully Mr. Hugo's morals spoke louder and he didn't give in to the Shadow. I don't have a problem at all giving in to imagination and believing in reincarnation ( I think deep down I wish it is true). Plus, these are truly entertaining stories. As for the title, it is actually appropriate , but I have to say the cover hinted towards "typical" seduction, because of the lady in it...but then, we're not supposed to be judging the book by it's cover :)!
Now, why is it that Jac keeps denying herself love and relationships?? M.J., would you, please, do something about it? ;) not to spoil it for others, M.J. can you fix things between her and Griffin??? Last book was not cool :) :)
Now that she has better understanding of the gift she has, she should let herself go more. I think the use of her gift needs to be done carefully and not until she can have some control over it.
Well, I'm looking forward to the next book!
I read the book a few months ago & LOVED it! I have always been fascinated w/Hugo (mainly due to les mis) & while reading, I felt like I was actually getting a glimpse of the real man! I loved the way you infused real facts in with the spiritualism plot twists!! I had no problems with the reincarnation aspect as I find it interesting. As far as Malachi goes, I'm honestly only mildly interested in him. I have read the previous book in the series & I definitely think Jac should expand her abilities to help others! As far as the title, I was a little unsure about it at first but after finishing, I think it really fits. I will say that when my hubby saw me reading it, he assumed it was just another romance novel & I had to correct him!!! ;) I'm so looking forward to the next book!! Only question I can think of is-- out of all the books in this series so far, which one did you enjoy writing most & why? :)
