For me it was Nate Garrett, the Hellequin from the series by Steve McHugh. He is a bonafide dangerous hero. A terrible enemy, and a great friend/protector.

my pick is Dominic Anscombe from Sweet Seduction Sacrifice. Our heroine seeks advice from a law firm and meets Dominic Anscombe, a lawyer. He steps up to the plate right away and acts bodyguard and protector, even though that's not in his job description. ☺

I read her Rock Chick books and then this one. My first thought about Hawk was "Stalker Mega-Caveman alert!!! I don't care how good he kisses, call 911 and get a restraining order." but by the end of the book I loved him dearly.
