Neha, sure, wherever you like. It can be a fanfiction in terza rima if you so desire. Maria - Did I mess that up? One per person. Uno! Solamente uno.
About how long should it be? Like in page length.
Uh... well you can use www.wordcounter.net to see how many words it is. I believe that 5000 words is about 10 9.5 by 11 pages in size 12 font (Times New Roman).
Hello Everyone - I'm extending the writing challenge until the 15th of May because we only have two entries so far...
Hmmm good point. Maybe I should change it to just short stories for now? Next time we'll do one of each :)
Well I'm asking you if it'd be better because of your opinion. I didn't say that, I'm thinking about changing it though...
I'm going to keep it the way it is; but if you think it won't be fair for you, do what you will.
A suggestion for future contest would be to have a prompt, let's say the prompt is Crack in the ceiling, then you have submissions for poetry and submissions for short stories. (Or like in this case you can just do OPEN Call - meaning the entries have no set prompt entries can be anything the writer wishes to submit,) Some groups divide it up and have ppl vote for each category, in my group we found it was easier to just put one poll up and everyone voted on the piece they liked best.

You can submit anything up to 5,000 words from today (April 1) through the 15th of May. That includes:
-Short stories
-Excerpts
-Poems
-Journal entries
-Anything!!
(translations count - as long as it's your translation of whatever. Be sure to mention the original though!)
Only one per person!
Nothing too inappropriate, please! We shall have a poll at the end of the month to see who wins :)
