Wait shouldn't it be 3? 1 point for "Red" and 2 points for "Aveyard"?I'm confused now.

You're correct, it is 3 points. :)

Yup. It's 3. I apparently couldn't spell Blizzard while I was figuring it out.
I know I started a couple weeks late, but I still haven't shown up on the "participants" list. It was okay that I joined a little late, right?

I was gonna include illustrators as part of the authors since it made sense when I read a couple graphic novels, but now some of my "normal" books have illustrations in them and it feels like I'm "cheating" by including double authors names. Should I remove the illustrators and just stick with the one author?
Rebecca wrote: "Can I just get a clarification of rules, can you get more than three points for any one book? I read Books of Blood by Clive Barker and counted it as three points. Would it be four since the title ..."3 points is the max you can get. Also only the first word of the title counts (not including A/The/etc.) so Sandry's book wouldn't count. :)
I'm joining this really late but I need an incentive to make more time for reading.Pages read: 1039

Do we only count bonus points for Author's Name if it is the Author's last name? Or do first names count too?
Kelly wrote: "Do we only count bonus points for Author's Name if it is the Author's last name? Or do first names count too?"I asked this last time and Jonel said first names count too. :)
Kelly wrote: "Do we only count bonus points for Author's Name if it is the Author's last name? Or do first names count too?"You can use first or last, but only one or the other for each author

Not only are we counting the pages that we read, but there is also a bonus challenge this time. For every book that you read with a title starting with one of the letters in the bonus word give yourself 1 point, if the author's name starts with a letter in the bonus word give yourself 2 points. Watch for our bonus word coming soon
For example (if WINTER were our bonus word):
Nothing Lasts Forever by Sidney Sheldon = 1 point for title
OR
Fire in the Blood by Dale Ibitz = 2 bonus points for author
OR
Winter Swans by Danica Winters = 1 point for title, 2 points for author = 3 bonus points
Be sure to tally your pages and bonus points separately. The person with the most bonus points at the end of the challenge will get to choose a spring related word for the next quarter.
To sign up simply start yourself a post to track what you've read during the read-a-thon. Edit your post throughout the read-a-thon to let everyone know which books you've read & your total number of pages.
