I read this a few weeks back, didn't enjoy it as much as everyone else seemed too, but looking forward to hearing what others make of it.
I've been meaning to read this one for ages and just have it sitting on my shelf so YAY I'm excited.
We read this as a buddy read (thanks Tracey!)and I loved it but I know some didn't connect with it, so will be interesting!
Ooh, such a mixed series of responses from you guys! Seems to be one of those books that's either 'loved it!' or 'meh'. Maybe because the characters are quite young? (I'm only guessing on that one, but some places are categorizing it as YA, so.)Fingers crossed I can read it in December. It's very much stuck on hardcover prices here in the UK; even the Kindle version is quite expensive right now. :(
This will be an interesting discussion...looking forward to it. I'm in the camp with Tracey and Margret.

Just got a sample on my Kindle since people seem to have very mixed opinions on this one. Seems promising based on the description and some of the reviews I've read. Looking forward to checking it out!
I am almost 40% into the book and have a small issue with the writing style of the author. I am enjoying the story, but I noticed that the author uses a lot of dashes "-" in the middle of long sentences. And if there are two then what's in between them is another long sentence. Did anyone notice that?
Been meaning to read this for about two months but, as I said on The Goblin Emperor post, I'm feeling slumpy so can't get into anything right now. Hopefully I'll pick it up again in January instead.
Is anyone else listening to the audiobook? The accent is SO distracting!

Hi Monica :) :)
I should have done the same! I don't actually hate the book, but whoever thought it was a good idea to read the book with such a thick accent deserves all of their left socks to go missing in the washing machine!
