Sounds like a good read.

I also agree that life can be very difficult for new authors, who don't have the marketing clout of the big publishers or access to well known newspaper reviewers. Unfortunately, this means that many very good books don't take off - and conversely, many badly written books do.

I am from Edinburgh so will purchase a copy of Blackout. Unfortunately, I don't have a Kindle so will have to pinch my wife's!

I think I will stick with the Kindle and see if I can prize it off my wife for a few days!
