This is of course, optional, but it seems that a lot of us are planning to, or are reading the prequel to the book. The prequel is called 'No Place Like Oz' and it's only available as an e-book. You can purchase is through Amazon, Barnes & Nobles, and possibly other platforms? If you live in the US, it's $1.99.

This thread is discussion for the novella. How did you like it?

Jbb Lim (jbblkh) I will include this into the Read-Along. This should be fun!

Katie (katieshuffle) This prequel was soo good!! However, I did want to slap Dorothy basically the whole time I was reading it because she kept sounding like a spoiled brat who was turning evil.

𝓉𝒽𝑒 P͜͡N͜͡W͜͡ 𝔻𝕒𝕞𝕖✨ (thepnwdame) This book was fantastic! So good that I couldn't wait for the read along Lol! I finished it in 2 days :)

Michelle (athousandliveslived) | 8 comments OMG. I just finished it now and it was so amazing. Dorothy was such a brat, I never would imagine that there is this side of the story. I just can't wait for Dorothy Must Die!

message 10: by Désirée (new)

Désirée (deki) A great prequel, it makes me want to read more! :)

message 11: by Lacey (new)

Lacey I agree! I couldn't believe what a lil snot Dorothy was! LOL! I was suspicious of Ozma, but now I'm suspicious of Glinda too! I thought it was neat that her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry got to see Oz though, but I'm curious to find out if they really got creamed at the end there, hopefully it will be mentioned in the Dorothy Must Die story, but maybe not. But anyway, I did find Dorothy annoying in this one so DOWN WITH DOROTHY! hehe!

message 12: by Nelly (new)

Nelly Lavaud (chaptershakedown22) I thought that Ozma was the bad one in the beginning but then as I continued to read I found that I really disliked Dorothy. I wonder what is really going on. She was so consumed with wanting and I believe that there is something underhanded going on. Glinda used Dorothy and I think that it's going to bite her on the ass. I just started Dorothy Must Die and I'm excited to see what happens

message 13: by Gothie (new)

Gothie BioVenom (gotherellabiovenom) I'm really looking forward to reading the book as soon as it arrives now xD

Wanted to slap the spoiled brat out of Dorothy in the last half, but in the first half I kind of sympathized with her.
I loved being able to have that change of opinion in a novella and I'm hoping the book will be just as well written :)

Sooo I'm only 35% through and I'm really enjoying the content/plot, but am I the only one that feels like the writing and dialogue is a bit off? I feel like my hand is being held too much if that makes sense haha. Still enjoyable though!

Chloe Icsis | 1 comments Hi all.. I'm wondering what is the best reading order for this series? Do all the novellas need to be read before dmd and twwr? I'm looking forward to starting this series soon so kinda wanna know before I start getting the books.. Thanks :)

message 16: by Stacey (new)

Stacey Hi. I've just joined this group. I'm about to start reading the Dorothy Must Die books... should I read No Place Like Oz first?

message 17: by Stacey (new)

Stacey I too was wondering aboit reading order of all the books?

I have the order as;
*No place like oz
*the witch must burn
*the wizard returns
*the heart of tin
*the straw king
*the ruler of beasts
*order of the wicked
*dark side of the rainbow
*queen of oz
*dorothy must die
*the wicked will rise
*yellow brick war
*the end of oz

Then dorothy must die stories 1, stories 2, stories 3

Is that correct?
