Amy Is it just me or does this book say the same thing 304 different ways on 304 different pages? Don't get me wrong; it's a fascinating topic. Ginkgos and gomphotheres are always interesting. However, I was hoping for something other than the author telling me over and over that plants still exist that once depended on now-extinct megafauna to distribute their seeds far and wide in their scat.

I think I was expecting quite a lot more of the "Other Ecological Anachronisms" mentioned in the book's title, but the table of contents doesn't seem to point in that direction.
