I enjoyed many passages and stories throughout "One More Thing" but one line that particularly stuck out to me was, "We overlook the few things we are sure we already know" (p. 54).

The context of the story "Walking on Eggshells" at first seemed lighthearted but I found the overall theme of the chapter to be somewhat dark. I liked this quote because of the simplicity and wisdom it relayed compared to the more complicated themes in the chapter.

Dave Mello (davemello) | 2 comments One of my favorite quotes came rather early in the book, the first story, specifically. Just before the tortoise and the hare begin their "Rematch" in the story of the same name, the hare delivers arguably the book's funniest line, in my opinion.

"'And good luck to you, tortoise,' whispered the hare, leaning in close. 'And just so you know - nobody knows this, and if you tell anyone I said it, I'll deny it - but I'm not really a hare. I'm a rabbit.'
This wasn't true - the hare said it just to fuck with him."

My favorite quote in the entire book is one I cannot quite remember off the top of my head. I lent the book to a friend so I do not have the copy in front of me, but the last line in "Quantum Nonlocality and the Death of Elvis Presley" was really nice. It said something about knowing that a presence like Elvis doesn't just go away. I really liked it and I'd also like to find the quote directly, if not I can wait for the book to be returned.
