Hello all! My name is Melissa. I recently discovered the steampunk genre and am anxious to read more! Any recommendations about books or authors would be greatly appreciated. I do enjoy a good mystery and books with a little magic, however, I am open to just about anything. I love books and reading and am always excited to discover new genres and authors. Thanks!

Boneshaker. Cherie Priest Series:Clockwork Century. There's others I've not read I've heard are good...but of what I have this series I enjoyed the most.
Parasol Protectorate series and the Finishing School series by Gail Carriger. Stand alone "Odd Men Out" was pretty good. Scott Westerfeld wrote a series, titles are Behemoth, Leviathan, and Goliath (not the correct order). The Strange Affair of Spring Heeled Jack by Hodder. These are the ones that come immediately to mind.
Mainspring by Jay Lake are among those which I've heard are good. I believe this one is part of a trilogy.
one I found good that I don't see mentioned is The Affinity Bridge by George Mann. Also would recommend Tesla by Mark Lingane, Slave To Marshmallows: A Steampunk Fairy Tale, the Gears of a Mad God series by Brent Nichols, Flash Gold Chronicles series by Lindsay Buroker.
Then some of the better known and maybe already mentioned ones:
Parasol Protectorate and Finishing School by Carriger, Gail, the Leviathan series by Scott Westerfeld, The Clockwork Century series by Cherie Priest, Bannon & Clare series by Lilith Saintcrow and Age of Steam series by Devon Monk.
I might have doubled up on some mentioned, and I know I am leaving out some because they have already been mentioned. Enjoy.
