Me....but I'm so over True Blood. I'll watch this season but haven't enjoyed it since the third season. Now the books, I read everyone but the last one. I refuse to read it, bought it the day it came out so I would have the complete series (hardback) but I cannot make myself read it....nope not happening!
I've watched it from the start but I haven't really ENJOYED it since season 4... I watch now mainly for Alex/Eric and I'll admit I'm sad that I won't have my summertime Alex/Eric fix anymore lol .... I was going to read the books but when the ending of the last one was leaked out I absolutely REFUSED to buy them or read them
I have read them all, and since I had suspected the ending for ages, I wasn't too surprised. It was just kind of eh. I would have liked a surprise, I guess. The show...I just finished season 5 and was completely uninspired. Where did all the vampire politics come in? Like...what? Lilith? Just really bored me that season. I haven't watched season 6 yet, but I can't imagine it could be any worse.
I have watched from the beginning and read all but the last three books. I kind of lost interest in the books, but I'll finish them one day. The show is really the only TV series I watch during the summer, so I think I've been holding out hope that it will get better! I hope they bring their "A" game for the last season.
I have read all of the books, in fact, they are probably what got me hooked on the paranormal genre. I think, like most series, toward the end the characters were starting to wear thin. I have a lot of good memories about the first books probably up through book 6ish but then I don't really recall much after that.I was so excited when the tv series came out. I was glued to the tv or DVr'd it every time it was on but I started losing interest on the season with werewolves. When they did the Lilith thing I was over it. I would still watch reruns but I will not pay to see all the ones I missed! What saddened me about the series was they started out sooo good. The actors who portrayed, Sookie, Bill, Eric, Sam, etc were very spot on for me! If they would have kept to Ms Harris's storyline it would have been sooo good!

That's what I hear from a lot of people. I won't be reading it.

Who else has watched this from the start...or read all the books?"I read all the Sookie Stackhouse books, including the last one, and I see what made people mad but truthfully I enjoyed it and I can see why it ended like it did. The inevitable conclusion of any other ending wouldn't really have been happy for long.
I've read all the books except the last one. I bought it but can't bring myself to read it. lol. I love the series but feel like it has run its course. I really enjoyed this last season until the last episode when I felt like I was watching a twilight zone episode. I am not sure what they were smoking when they wrote that garbage but whatever it was wasn't good. I love Alexander Skarsgard and will miss his portrayal of Eric but other than that I am okay with it ending.

I never finished reading the series (I will one day, but the show kind of ruined the books for me - I wasn't a True Blood fan after season one). But I always figured the series would end the way it did. I guess she didn't handle it very well, but I can't say The Big Spoiler surprised me. :/
I'm not upset about it, but then I'm always the one who likes the least popular characters best (not necessarily this guy, but some of Sookie's other love interests).
Alright, so I've just finished watching the season finale, an I am sorely disappointing. This must be what it's like to read the last few books, which I haven't based on reviews. So, sadly, I'm going to pretend everything ended differently and strive to move on.
I have seen many comments about how disappointed people were with the finale, so I know you're not alone, Kiersten. I thought it was a good ending, though. Most shows out there, right now, go for shock value and I know that True Blood has done this is in prior episodes, but I thought it was fitting. Why can't we have a happy ending every now and then? I think this is what they gave us. Don't get me wrong, I was devastated about Bill, and I cried. I also thought it could have been a little longer, if only to give us a little more of everyone. But, we get to know that all these beloved characters are in a good place, and right where they should have been all along. We can also imagine what their lives will be like going forward. I know I'm in the minority here, but I'll own it!
I watched from the start and I have read all the books. I was disappointed with the ending in the TV series and in the books.
