This is definitely going to be one of my favorite series, cant wait for the rest of the series, but until then are their any books with a similar plot ?

What do you mean by a similar plot?

I also loved the book and 2015 seems so far away for the next book in the series.

The Tairen Soul series by C L Wilson is an excellent fantasy with great characters and a superb plot.
