Sounds like the Holly St. James Romantic Mysteries by Georgette Livingston. Here is a description from one of the books:
Elua, which means "two" in Hawaiian, is the second book in a new romantic mystery series that features the adventures of Holly St. James, private detective. In this second book on the series, Holly St. James and Logan West meet Annie Bean, a tough old woman who claims to have witnessed a murder. There is a body all right, but Annie seems to know more than she admits. Holly and Logan also encounter a very rich and very young widow who keeps a deadly secret, as well as a lonely drifter with a scarred hand who may not be as threatening as he appears. And while the clues mount, are Holly and Logan hearing wedding bells in the background?

No response but it seems highly likely that's the right series. Moving to Solved.

It is set in Hawaii, and the title page would list several Hawaii words for the reader to learn.
I want to say the main character is a private in investigator. Her love interest is named Logan and they eventually marry as the series goes on.
It was in the year 2000-2002 when I read the series but I only located them in dollar stores ( so probably written before 2000) but it was over 5 books in series. Hardcover. I was 12 at the time so it wasn't explicit but it was still an adult book series.
I have searched book series in Hawaii but could not find it. But the main key memory points I have are "set in Hawaii, mystery with a stong romantic subplot. Series spanning multiple books and in hardcover." Hopefully that sounds familiar to someone. Thank you :)
