(view spoiler)[Not really enjoying it but I can turn the pages easily. Nathan is subject to so much bullying, it's disturbing how many times he passes out. I don't really like any character at the moment. They feel really distant. Even though it appears Arran and Deborah care about Nathan, I somehow don't trust them. I couldn't care less about Annalise. The time Annalise and Nathan spends together invoke no emotions from me... (hide spoiler)]

Page 157 (view spoiler)[Quite bored. I don't like the dark tone of this book and I still don't really care for the protag...There's many 'lists' which I find convey a lot of information but seem like a poor way to do so. (hide spoiler)]

page 206(view spoiler)[snorefest at this point. Nathan is abused and tortured and nothing much is happening. I can't bring myself to empathise. Nathan is strange and his obsession with Annalise is unfounded?! (hide spoiler)]

page 285(view spoiler)[prolonging the time before Nathan receives his gift. way too long and uneventful to get there. (hide spoiler)]

Page 324(view spoiler)[draggy to the max. Rose, Mercury, Gabriel, all these characters are strange and creepy to me. I don't like this book's vibe at all... (hide spoiler)]

WORST BOOK IVE EVER READ. What a waste of time. OMG (view spoiler)[Nathan was running the whole book and at the end he's still running and it hints at him continuing to run. WTF I feel cheated and I'm pissed at this ending! (hide spoiler)]

Why was it so bad? If you can summarize it spoiler-free. Thank you ^^.

My review is spoiler-free. There really isn't much to spoil in this book because it was lacking a plot! I get that the theme explored is 'good' and 'evil' but it wasn't interesting to be honest.

Hm, the novella was alright, but I hope the main book is better.

the novella is so boring! i seriously hope the main books aren't this dull.

I really don't know when you're supposed to read the novella, I can barely tell the two books are connected.

Ok so the novella is a little confusing but it is not bad I just want to know what it has to do with Half Bad

Other than being set in the same world, I don't really know.

So I just finished the novella and (view spoiler)[ Maybe this was to show how bad things can be between the witches, and the summary says that Gab is the main characters friend. It also gives a little clue how the half witches are treated.
