Why does everyone carry on with this series if it's so bad?

Rusty's Ghost Engine (also known as.......... Jinky Spring) Exactly what the title says.

.·:*¨ × Shannon♥Stelena&Bamon&Sydrian × ¨*: I can think of an few good reasons:

1. To know how it ends.
2. Some people have to finish series, no matter how terrible they've become over the years.
3. Some people actually find some good in this series and hope it might get better.

wayword_witch This series is like a bag of store-brand cookies. You suffer halfway through the bag until payday comes and you can afford Oreo's or Fudgie-O's. Only when you've eaten all of that bag without preparing for the last bite is when you remember that stale bag of cookies in the back of your cupboard. And once again, you suffer through it because payday's is only a few days away. You hate every minute of it but you need your fix.

Personally, I'm not picking up anymore of these books until after the last one is released and we're told yes, this is the end.

Also, it might have something to do with the level of maturity of the reader and their expectations of a story.

Margot Because it's like a train wreck: you know it's bad, but you can't help staring. lmao

Precious Judith To know how things will turn out and it if gets any better

Kela Esther Honestly, because it's better to know how it ends after all the effort you put into reading the previous books, and make excuses that it wasn't an utter waste of time.

Mayra The only reason I keep reading this series is because I'm not the type of person to leave things halfway finished or they drive me crazy.this series had so much potential and P.C. and Kristin just let it go to crap. This series reminds me of the the Immortals series by Allison Noel, that series had a lot of potential also and it just got lost in all the mumbo jumbo but that's another rant for another day.I honestly think this is a series with so much potential that just got wasted away and its a true shame.

I couldn't agree more!

Tammy Taylor I also have the need to finish the story. I will not pick up another series by them. That is for sure!!!

message 10: by Nancy (new)

Nancy Davis I need to finish series. But I like it. It's kinda like soap operas people watch for years and years. Things get wilder and wilder, but I LOVE love stories. Soul mates that kind of stuff I am much older than most of you ladies, but hopeless romantic. Try Michelle mead vampire academy, colleen Buick tiger series, lot of great books just switch up and try things you don't normally read.sorry being noisy is a hard habit to break.

Tammy Taylor I have read every single one of Richelle Mead books!! She is amazing and I love her stories!

message 12: by Vidhya (new) - added it

Vidhya I just wish at some point the series gets better. I am a total fan of the series but then when you grow up with a series you expect the series to grow with you - a' la Harry Potter. You need the characters to grow with you. But if you are 10 books down the line and the characters still act like they are in the 6th grade you start to find them annoying. Especially Zoey. When I began the series she seemed so interesting. So full of life. I am just unhappy that the authors made her into this self obsessed annoying immature young adult who is the female protagonist but still cannot manage to kill one enemy. She just seems so under used. Aphrodite seems like the only level headed one in the entire series. Although I am done with this series already, I will still pick up redeemed to see how the series ends. I only hope that the title has lived up to the fanbase and has provided redemption.

Kate I agree with Vidhya, Aphrodite's the only one who's kept a level head.
And even though the summary says 'epic battle', there is nothing epic about what happens in this book. You may as well skip to the end and then toss it in a charity donation bin because the ending just ... Ugh, it's like Under The Dome (the book, not the show). You go through all the drama only to find out it was a bunch of aliens.

Precisely.

I am a beginning and end type of person so the first
book came out in 2007 and the final 12th book 2014 release,
or for me personally I only managed to get hold of a copy
recently. So re-read the whole lot.

I know glutton for punishment, oh its all so terribly of
its time and not in the best way, its well past its sell
by date and its not something that is very memorable or
will stand the test of time.

I think of other long running serials I have read
and compare and frankly there is no comparison.

Yes Margot`s description is very apt
