We will start discussing the story Tuesday December 15th. In the meantime, you can look at and add to the background info and resources thread here:

We're going to divide the novel into two, as its a fairly short, easy and moreish read :-)

Tuesday 15th - Chapter 1 (Mr Sherlock Holmes) up to and including Chapter 7 (The Stapletons of Merripit House)

Tuesday 22nd December - Chapter 8 (First Report of Dr Watson) to the end.

As this is essentially a whodunnit - or a whatdunnit??! - please be especially careful of spoilers. I think most people have at least an idea of the plot from film and TV even if they've not read the book itself, but we can't take this for granted.
