So I'm going to try and clean up this group!
What I am going to do is to move the old Character Creation thread to an archive folder and create a new CC thread.
I'm doing this so we can clear out all of the inactive characters! I just think it'll be more neater and cleaner.

DETAILS
- Aphrodite and Eros’ Cabins will be in charge of the event! (Contact me if you have a camper from either of these two cabins and would like to partake in it.)
-‘Cupid’s arrows’ will be a lottery event beforehand where your character puts their name on a slip of paper and a match is randomly made. (more details about this will be hashed out a week or so prior to Valentine’s day.)
-There will be a rose-giving ceremony and small dance.

HELLO, EVERYBODY!
Just in case, some of you haven’t been keeping up with the recent activities in this group, Jacqueline and I were recently appointed new mods of this group as most old moderators were unable to be active on this group. Therefore, we want to bring back life to this group.
Rules
Basically, everything is still mostly the same, no rules are being radically changed. If you are planning to create characters and role-play, you may still refer to the pre-existing rules and informations if you want to brush up on your role-play skills, most of them are located under the Starting folder, right at the top of the group (such as New to RP, Orientation and Rules of Roleplay)
Some informations are also being shared on this Announcement thread itself!
Active Participations & Invitations
For the revival of this group, we just would like to ask any still active members to please participate more often with the groups as well invite old members to come back and participate, if you are friends with any, otherwise, hopefully, you will be able to invite potential members.
Character List
A new Character List thread has been set up amazingly by Jacqueline! So please have a look at the list and post comments under the thread about any characters that we missed and you would like to be added to the list. Characters are not required to be approved by mods, except for special characters such children of the Big Three gods (if they exceed the limit) and virgin goddesses, unless mods asked for further details or alterations.
Original Characters Roleplay
Original Characters role-play has also been brought back to the group so if you would like this chance to role-play as your favourite characters, please have a look at the threads regarding this. We ask that before roleplaying as one, you will ask for approvals from mods first and provide an appropriate amount of details for a profile first before doing so. Ask for an Original Character
Events & Capture the Flag
We are also planning to bring back fun and interactive holiday events for the entire community, the mods haven’t gone into much details, so if you have any suggestion, please feel free to share it with us. However, one event that we are almost certain we’re bringing back is Capture the Flag! Yay! It will most likely happen sometime during the end of the month, but further announcement going into more details will be coming. So meanwhile, if you don’t quite remember the rules for this game, I suggest, you should go back to reading the thread and make plans and preparations for the event. Sorry, if this is way too much informations but if you still have any question about any of this, or have got great suggestions for the revival, please feel free to share them on the Questions/Suggestions thread, we are more than happy to receive them!
We are really excited to bring this group to its former glorious days. While us, the mods, are trying hard to fulfil this, we can’t possibly do it all alone without supports and participations from all our amazing members. So again, please invite back any old members that you are friends with or any potential new members. It’s a lot more fun when it’s lively.
Jacqueline will be sending out a group message as well, just in case some members haven’t been checking out the group discussions.

NEW LOCATION THREADS FOR ROLEPLAYING!
If you've been looking around at the group threads and folders, you might've noticed there are some changes recently. Don't worry, they're all good changes!
Because we've added a few more locations to the group for you guys to role-playing at and more diversity of role-play storyline.
The folder previously titled 'Places', which holds most of locations that you guys are used to role-play at, has been changed to 'Camp Half-Blood'. This indicates that this folder list all of the locations that can be found inside of camp, book-wise, most of them are the same.
There's also a new folder titled 'Outside of Camp'. It's very self-explanatory. This folder list most of the locations that were mentioned in the books but found somewhere else outside of camp. We were considering other ways of organising the threads but found this is the most efficient and least complicated way.
With these new threads, we are hoping it will get members more excited for this group. As new locations are available to you to roleplay and have even more fun doing so!
Jacqueline has been wonderful and creating these new locations. However, we can't possibly know every single location. If you guys have any suggestion for locations that we missed or locations from the books that you want in the group, feel free to let us know at: Questions/Suggestions!

Hi guys!
So, the last clean up of the character creation thread was five years ago, if you can believe that! In that amount of time, it's likely that the majority of the characters in the thread are no longer used, and a lot of their creators are likely inactive. Because of this, Jacqueline has made a NEW Character Creation thread, which you can find HERE.
The old thread will remain in the create folder until the end of next week (April 26th), when it will be moved to the archives folder. The thread will still be accessible, don't worry! You'll just have to look in the archives folder to find it, and you won't be able to add any new comments. We simply ask that if you have characters that you're currently using for roleplays, you copy and paste their profile from the old character creation thread into the new one.

Hihi everyone! The other mods and I have decided to have this weekend's capture the flag tournament begin at 8PM EST. If you're unsure of when this is in your time zone, google "8pm est to [insert your location here] time" and that should help!

We are very excited to announce the next upcoming event and the newest event we’re bringing to the group, 🏳️🌈PRIDE🏳️🌈!
This event will be happening next month which is June, the LGBTQ+ Pride Month. For those of you who are unaware of what Pride is, it is the promotion of the self-affirmation, dignity, equality, and increased visibility of LGBTQ+ people as a social group (thanks Wikipedia!)
For this event, the mods have discussed and we have organised some specific events to celebrate the months. The events include: a Pride-themed prom/ball, a Pride-themed concert, a Pride-themed Chariot drive-in movie night and of course, a Pride parade! (Yes, everything is pride-themed)

Prom/Ball
This event is set up as a typical prom/ball except Pride-themed, which means this event is only exclusive to queer characters. Your characters are welcome to bring along dates or even attend alone! There will be various location threads dedicated to this event so activities aren’t too hectic under a single thread. Find a date thread and outfits planning thread will be open later. This is the only event exclusive to LGBTQ+ characters.

Concert
This event is centred on celebrating the LGBTQ+ community as well highlighting talented queer artists. This is a great opportunity to have any of your musician characters get a chance to perform and showcase their musical talents. This event is open to all type of musical genre and your characters may sing or play musical instruments. Don’t worry, your non-musical characters may also attend this event by roleplaying themselves hanging out and enjoying the events with their friends and other characters. If you are interested in having your characters in the concert line-up sign them up under the "Concert Line-up" thread.

Movie Night
Ride your chariot over to the first ever chariot drive-in movie night. This event will be showing a selection of LGBTQ+ films. Your characters may come with their friends, with a date or even alone if they’re a weirdo. Just kidding!

Pride Parade
And of course, what pride is complete without one of the most iconic event, a parade. The Parade thread will be opened and ongoing for the entirety of the month of June to accomodate the conflicting timezones that our members have and we don’t want anybody to miss. However, there may be some specific events that will be announced during the event that may have specified date and time. Still, do come, celebrate our uniqueness and flaunt your flags at anytime you wish.

More informations will be announced later in the month so please keep an eye out to not miss any fun or important announcement! Dates and times for the different events will be decided later on by the moderators. We’re, literally all of the mods, are so so so so excited for Pride and we really hope to organise a fun and inclusive events for everyone to enjoy. The overall goal for Pride is to celebrate the uniqueness of all of us, bring awareness to the LGBTQ+ community and allows everyone to feel safe and enjoyable being and expressing themselves however they want. Most importantly, Pride will be a month of fun and celebration, therefore remember to be nice to everyone regardless of our differences. There will be no toleration of any hate or discrimination in the form of homophobia, transphobia, biphobia or queerphobia. I plan to take this very seriously.

I am happy to announce the next game of Capture the Flag will take place May 22-24. The threads will be opened at 8PM EST. Just so the game goes smoothly, I just want to cover a couple things that were issues last time.
- Please do not overpower your characters. If your character uses his/her powers, the amount of power (s)he uses MUST be reflected in how physically drained they become.
- No original characters from the books allowed.
- We also will not have team leaders or strategy meetings. This is supposed to be fun.

In addition to the events that we have already announced, we have organised a few more events.
For the Pride prom/ball and parade, we have created threads for the specific threads of finding dates and planning outfits.

Find A Date
For this thread, you may find dates for the characters you’re bringing along to the events, such as the prom/ball and parade. Dates aren’t necessarily always have to be romantic, they can also be friends.
As already previously mentioned, the prom/ball is exclusively for queer characters which means we highly encourage you guys to also find dates for your LGBTQ+ characters.

Outfits Planning
This thread is entirely optional. If you have an interest in detailed roleplays or simply have to cool outfits in mind for any of your characters, don’t hesitate comment down under the thread. This thread can be used to plan the outfits of any of your characters for any of the events, such as the prom/ball and parade.

In addition to these new threads, there’s also another exciting Pride events and that is a cabin party.

This party will be hosted in the Iris’ Cabin, all campers are (secretly) invited to this party, just keep your mouths tightly sealed about it. No word of this party can reach the ears of the camp director!

I am excited to announce the beginning of our Pride celebration. The Pride Parade thread is open now, so join in whenever you like. Our first concert will take place this Saturday-Monday. Here is where you can find all this month's concert programs. The events scheduled are below.
