Oh my goodness, an actual book for sure!! I especially love when they're hardback and you open them for the first time and the spine cracks! Also, the smell!!!!
I also love paper books, but I prefer paperbacks! But right now I'm hesitating to buy myself a kindle, a friend lend me hers and I'm testing it, it's not as bad as I thought it would be. The only problem is hers is old and doesn't work really well. Other than that I think I'm going to buy myself one!
I still buy lots of regular books, especially for my favorite series or authors but my Kindle has taken over as my number one way to read. It is a great way to get Free books, I have over 500 free books downloaded on mine. Also it is easier on my hands and wrists.
I don't have a Kindle and whenever I try to read on my iPad the screen lighting is just way too bright. Would you recommend a Kindle?
I personally prefer having an actual book in my hands, turning the pages and reading it. But I do have a few iBooks on my iPad. It's a good way to get books when you just can't find them in stores and even the library doesn't have them. Don't you hate that?!

It is much better to read on than an iPad or the old Kindles (IMHO). I upgraded to it last year and it is much easier on my eyes for sure! It also doesn't have glass screen so unlike most tablets it doesn't have any glare when you read outside.

I wanted to buy one but the price kind of convinced me not to, I wanted to get the less expensive one, but would you recommend the paperwhite or the other. Because I saw it was the best when you read a lot.

I've got both, and my preference is half and half, but in a nutshell: books are nicer to hold and smell and everything that makes me an obsessive bookaholic, but an iPad is easier to get books on, and is easier to hold. So either way, I don't have much of a problem.
Both are good. While it's convenient and cheaper to get books on my iPad - and I also tend to read them faster for some reason - there's just something special about having an actual book in your hands and turning the pages. I do like books better but I use both. The more the better anyway.
I prefer reading on my ipad just because it's more convenient. I borrow most of my books from the library and it is so much easier to return ebooks vs. real books. I also buy more ebooks than real books for lack of space in my house. I already have books overflowing my shelves. Yes, I know I should read those first but I get attracted to shiny new stuff.
Book all the way :) but I do read sometimes on phone...just prefer book books :D

Tablets by far! Well not tablets really. I prefer reading on a kindle or other ereader. I love having hundreds of books at my fingertips as well as a built in dictionary.
I prefer books whose pages are not too bright, i.e., books that are four years or older so that the pages take up a yellowish tint. Brand new books make my head ache with the brightness and lonely feeling. Unlike slightly older books that have a used and loved feeling to them. The older the book, the better!Since it is inconvenient to find old books at book stores, and there are no public libraries nearby, I tend to read on my iPad. After all, I can adjust the brightness.
I prefer physical books. I love to hold them in my hands and see them on my bookshelves or in random stacks around my room. However, I do have a Kindle and after it being in disuse for 2-3 years, I picked it back up a few weeks ago because I've been getting a lot of ebooks from online library catalogs! It's also handy for reading at night and not keeping lights on. Despite that, I haven't purchased an ebook in years and don't plan to.
I agréé with you Asha, I love physical books, buying them and storing them in my apartment. However I bought myself a kindle for Christmas and not regretted it for a second because it allows me to discover new books and do loading a sample to see if they are actually worth being bought. It also allows me to read some books and not buy them full price like Pretty little liars for example
Physical books definitely! I love spending time in book stores, looking at the covers, touching them, discussing with the salesperson about our readings. I feel so happy coming back home by bag full of books, looking forward reading them! I love to touch and feel the paper, to smell it (even taste it when I was a kid!).
I've bought a Kindle a year ago, but in the end I buy way more books than eBooks, and the Kindle is just lying there, unused...
Hi EveryoneI wouldn't read a book on a tablet, makes your eyes tired but I use an ebook reader and I like it very much, though I still like paper backs. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages.
I would like to invite you to visit my blog where I review books.
I actually mention in each review if it was a paper copy or an ebook that I chose.
Hope you will enjoy the reading.
