Doctor Who Book Club - Traveling the Vortex discussion

I've started this thread because I flicked to the back of The Crooked World and saw it has 252 pages, while Goodreads says it has 288.

I have Goodreads Librarian status (and maybe others in the group do too) and if this is an error I can fix it easily (and we can all have a nice boost to our progress).

Of course, I want to check that my copy isn't a strange anomaly. Please can a few of you check how long your book is and reply? I believe there is only 1 edition of this book, so they should be the same. Also , since so many of us are reading together, I thought I should give some warning that the progress bar may suddenly jump ahead.

You could also reply here if you find other errors in the future.

(Personally, I'm happy to receive DMs too about simple fixes for any books. Especially things as irritating as books with no page count at all. Just double check the ISBN matches exactly before suggesting changes.)

Ok, looks like there's just one version of The Crooked World (the BBC does like to keep things confusing though) and that Amazon likes to write "288 pages" on standard paperbacks if it doesn't know how long they are. Maybe it's even standard practice, but I'll be suspicious of that number now.

Anyway, I'll fix the page count and those of us who havn't finished the book yet can feel nearer then end :)

I have an ebook copy and it said 202 pages. But we all know how reliable an ebook's page count is :)

So far I've only read one book as an ebook. It had the first chapter of another author's book stuck on the end, which made it terribly frustrating to figure out my real progress. (Maybe this doesn't bother some people, but I find being able to see my progress really helpful, especially when a book starts to drag). At least I've learnt form a recent TTV how to get Goodreads to use page numbers for ebooks, and not just percentages. But before I tangent too far, back to the point..

I've noticed Goodreads doesn't have many entries for Doctor Who ebooks, even though lots of them are available that way. This is something I'm happy to fix. I just need the ISBN or AISN of the ebook (not of the printed copy). It's also helpful if you can give a page count that should be about right for most people. Also mention whether it's a 'kindle edition' or just an ebook. (This will help me get things right while I'm getting used to the system.) With Doctor Who novels everything else should match the paperback info so I can sort that out. Just give me a heads up if you want me to add a book where there might be differences (like perhaps that set of books that got new editions and covers for the 50th).

Eventually I hope to know enough to add/fix Who books en masse, but for now just throw any details at me that are missing from Goodreads, and I'll patch as we go. I don't plan to buy any ebooks myself, so I'll be relying on you guys for that info.

ISBN for my copy of Touched by an Angel is 978-1-84-990756-9 The story is 204 pages I'm length. This is strictly the story itself in page count. It leaves out introduction, acknowledgements and the preview pages for the other books.
