What is your favorite book??
Hi. I think my favourite book is either The Fault in our Stars by John Green or The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. They're both really sweet. The Fault In our stars is really well known so I'm sure everyone knows all about it. (It's a really sweet love story about kids with cancer.) and The Book Thief is one of this books where you love it so much it's your book and you feel that promoting it is betrayal. I'm sorry but I'm not going into details on that one.

Interesting suggestions. I am currently reading the book thief and I already saw the movie I liked it.
Have you watched the movie yet??

Ye, I saw the premiere. I loved it. I think they cut out the right parts, I don't think the fact they cut lots out spoiled the film. It was really good.

How the kids act I like. They look like professionals. I was really surprised.

I know, and they also looked so innocent when they were acting, like they were the characters rather than actors playing them.

My favorite book is me before you by Jojo Moyes. It is such an underrated book and I wish more people would read it!Me Before You
I have no one favorite book, but several. (I think the same could be said for any bibliophile. Smile.)Here are 5 favorites of mine ---
1) Burr by the great Gore Vidal
2) A Little Love by C.C. Medina
3) Dona Flor and Her Two Husbands by Jorge Amado
4) Fortress Malta: An Island Under Siege 1940-1943 by James Holland
5) The Cruel Sea by Nicholas Monsarrat
My favorite book isThe Mysteries of Udolpho. I think it's a perfect balance of drama, romance, and suspense, with morality kept in mind. Plus the main character's name is Emily. How can you not love a book whose main character has your name? :)
To Kill a Mockingbird. But I really enjoyed the Harry Potter books and the Hunger Games books.
Also really loved
Dark Places and
Gone Girl.
my favorite book is definitely A Constellation of Vital Phenomena by Anthony Marra. Such an ambitious plot and moving prose :--)

I didn't read it in high school. I read it for the first time when I was 40. I was like that when I was a kid, it was a little like remembering my own childhood. I'm not sure I would have gotten that from it, even if I had read it in high school.
Yes, that's a good one, but my all-time favourite, I think, is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Cantic...
My favorite book would have to be One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, by Ken Kesey. The film adaptation is phenomenal, but the book (as usual) gives the reader so much more insight.
I find I can never answer this question as it really depends on my mood, but I love seeing other people's choices ...looks like I need to add more to the tbr!

Thanks! I think your choice of Harry Potter was great as well, it's another favorite of mine too. I've heard of Vampire Academy before, I don't know if it would be something that would interest despite the fact that I like to read vampire stories every now and again.

Not so much a book, but my all time favourite narrative is Jorge Borges' The Circular Ruins and pretty much any of his narratives. But, I also have to admit that I love, for reasons of pure enjoyment and because they are my happy place, any of Cassandra Clare's novels.

But I just love Jace for being so hurt and damaged and the way he grows as a character... Don't make me choose... ok I have to say TMI if I have to pick.

You don't have to pick! You can have them both! Jem is amazing. And so is Will! THE FEELS!

Not what my friends usually tell me, apparently I can't have both Damon and Stefan from TVD . . . they make me choose ;)
Are you hanging to read The Dark Artifices? Have you read The Bane Chronicles yet? I haven't read them yet, but I really should, I have a very soft spot for Magnus ;)
hey Gina, I've got a book for you.If your two favorite books are LOTR and Narnia, you absolutely must read Here, There Be Dragons
once you read it, you'll understand why.

I can't wait to read dark artifices :P I have not read the bane chronicles yet, I was waiting until I could get them all at once in book form so unfortunately I have to wait until November :( I love Magnus he is too awesome for his own good. Have you read the last book of TMI? I haven't cause I want to reread them all first.

Everyone seems to make a little cameo appearances in it so it's great. And my comment earlier about Jem "stealing" Church will make sense ;) Sorry assumed you had read it. I'm all like [author:Cassandra Clare|150038] I need you in my life. I've read 1-4 of TMI but I'm focusing on books I haven't read right now so it's probably going to be some time before I read 5 & 6. I did restart 1 but I haven't finished it yet.

I'm working on finishing Anna and the french kiss right now but I'm also reading Forever, how do you like Maggie Stiefvater, how many of her books have you read? I've only read Shiver and Linger but I enjoyed both of them except for some parts in Linger. Also do you maybe want to continue this conversation in PM so we're not taking over this thread?
