Book Suggestions: May: First in Series

I've been reading a lot of series lately, but they're mostly YA because brainfog. I'm suggesting The Selection Series and The Grisha Trilogy because they're both about to end, and they're both super easy reads.
I recommend The Thief. It's the first in one of the best series I've ever read and it's quite short as well so should be good for people to finish.
Children's/YA: Swallows and Amazons by Arthur RansomeYA: Feeling Sorry for Celia by Jaclyn Moriarty (this series is pretty loose, especially this first one, but it's so funny and well-done.)
historical fantasy: Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier
historical mystery: Medicus by Ruth Downie (I don't read all that many series either, so this is the only one of my ideas that I've never read.)
YA is always good. I don't read series because I find them long and sometimes repetitive and I have concentration and memory issues so I often have trouble getting into the second book. The ones I have read are YA. I've also read
( I really liked this one but some parts are disturbingly graphic)Ones that I want to read are:
(its going to be a movie very soon)
How about Inkheart? It's young adult, though fairly lengthy - 500 something pages. I loved it the first time I read it but it's been a while.
All right. Is it wrong to suggest my own book? It's first in a series. But, it is definitely 17+. Not overly graphic, but some detailed seduction. Only in e-book. About 215 pages.
Analisa, not wrong to suggest your own book at all. :)
Game of Thrones has also been suggested on Tumblr!

You might want to send messages saying that the poll is up. I had no idea there was an April poll at all, or that I should expect a poll, and maybe others didn't and that's why there were only two votes.
Oh, definitely! I remember posting about there being a poll, but since it was in a thread instead of a message, I'm sure several people missed it! Voting is still open and I can extend it further if I need to. Thanks for letting me know.

Welcome Kimberly, just got it. I can use all the guidance I can get on living joyfully when not feeling well.
I just rented Kimberly's book Sick and Tired and really enjoyed it.Sick & Tired: Empathy, Encouragement, and Practical Help for those Suffering from Chronic Health Problems
It is a short book so it works to read during my book fatigue.
I also like that fact that she interacts with you, which helps me from losing interest and falling asleep.

What better way to start off summer than with a new series to love? It doesn't matter what type of series- thriller, mystery, fantasy, sci-fi, whatever.
As long as it's a series, submit it for May!
