This is a place for the wonderful published and aspiring writers in our group to connect with each other and talk about their craft, find critique partners, as well beta readers, and even offer your books up for honest reviews.

This is also a place to chat openly with readers about characters, genres, pet peeves, favorite this or that, etc.

We will be fairly lenient about mentioning your own books here, however this is
NOT A PLACE FOR SELF-PROMOTION. If you need to promote a sale or book tour or a release date, we encourage you do that here in the promo section. Any blatant self-promotion posts in this section will be deleted without notice, and repeat offenders could be banned from the group.

Since this section is new to our group, we are going to have to take every instance as it comes and the rules will evolve as we go. We expect everyone to be kind and courteous and respect everyone’s personal opinions.

*NOTE: you are responsible for connecting with anyone who accepts to read your book and sending it to them. Do not post your email in any thread! Use Goodreads personal message feature and connect directly. Most importantly, do not automatically expect favorable reviews. Any type of harassment regarding negative reviews will not be tolerated.

Keta (ketadiablo) | 14 comments THANKS. I hope it's alright for me to introduce myself here first, and then I'll pop over to the promo page later, to see if I can share my work.

I appreciate being able to connect to readers, and other writers. Writing can be a lonely time!

Jace (jace_is_reading) I'm a bit unsure on one thing, is this for all writers or just for those who have got their book published?

I'm assuming this is a place for published and unpublished writers. :)

J.S. Watts | 39 comments Writers are writers, whether published or unpublished. as we are not supposed to be promoting what we have written, does it matter?

Johnathon Wright | 212 comments I just finished reading Johnny Lycan and the Anubis Disk by
Wayne Turmel. I greatly enjoyed this little Werewolf detective story.

I have two favourite side characters from this on. Gramma, the Romani fortune teller and Johnny's land lord. Then there is the Nurse Ball, the beautiful and mysterious private nurse who takes care of Johnny's only client for his PI business.

What is it about the characters that you particularly like?

message 14: by Johnathon (new)

Johnathon Wright | 212 comments Good question, thanks. Gramma is a very interesting elderly Roma woman who has special 'gifts' relating to the Tarot cards and a bit of herbal witchery. She is very fiery and very unabashed in the expression of her opinions.

Nurse Ball is a tall beautiful enigma. She is the private nurse for Johnny's one very wealthy client. She is hard as nails but has an after hours persona that is radically different from the nurse Ball persona.

Both Gramma and Nurse Ball are characters with very interesting back stories that I will learn more about in future episodes of Johnny Lycan.
