Dewdrop landed right next to the tunnel to the volcano. She waited for Manta, tail swaying behind her. Scales shifted from teals to dark blues in excitement

Manta alighted on the dark floor silently, her wings stirring up clouds of ashes. Bright red light shone on her, turning her blue scales into fiery blaze

Dewdrop slowly entered the dark cave, "Stick close or mother will think your dinner" she half joked. Brightstream would really eat Manta if Dew didn't alert her

Manta rolled her eye, her empty hole glinting as if an ember was nestled there. "It's not like I'm going anywhere." she said, though she was itching to explore

Dewdrop laughed, but her laugh was overwhelmed by her mothers. The laugh almost made the dragonet want to throw up.

Brightstream landed in front of Manta, her eyes filled with delight. "Is this crossbreed our dinner?" She asked, tail lashing

Manta lashed her tail right back, her eye starting to brighten. "No, I'm not." she said, her scales pulsing waves of various shades of blue, like a cuttlefish

Brightstream laughed, "Alright, well, follow me" she began to dart towards the first part. She eyed Angels head with sadness but Strawberries with anger.

Dewdrop smiled, "Oh! Would you like an introduction to all these heads?" She joked, poking Manta. "We have a Mudwing wing, tail, stomach, which one you want?"

Manta shrugged. "Which one's the best in your opinion?" she said, beginning to follow Brightstream

Dewdrop actually had to take a moment to think. "They're all pretty good but I like the stomach, or the neck, your decision"

Brightstream easily tossed a large body at the two. "Alright, pick your favorite part and move on" she growled

Manta gestured to the body. "You first." she said, fake respect in her voice

Dew's mother was silent as Dewdrop cleanly slitted it's underbelly open. She tasted the blood on her talon, smiling with relief that Brightstream was silent. The dragonet took a scale off the tail as she bit it, wondering if this was awkward for Manta.

Manta watched Dewdrop carefully. She was determined not to show fear as she stepped forward, mimicking Dew and taking a scale. She popped it in her mouth, and swallowed it.

Dewdrop bursted out laughing, poking Manta. "I see you're nervous!" She squeaked, thinking about her first dragon meal. "My first dragon was strange, go for the flesh not the scales though" she advised, tail swaying
