Personally I like the Targaryens, they're so freaking cool with all their dragons. I don't really care about the others, but it's a bit sad for the Starks.

" Rhaneys would journey to Dorne but would find keep after keep empty except for women and children. When asked where the men went, the Dornish would just reply "away". She would finally journey to Sunspear and would only find the Princess of Dorne, Mirram Martell. She was 80, fat, blind, and almost bald. Argilac the Arrogant would call her the "Yellow Toad of Dorne". Mirram would tell Rhaenys that she would not fight nor kneel. She told her to leave and return at her peril. Rhaenys warned that if she left, she would return with fire and blood. Mirram answered with words of House Martell."Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken.
I'd be loyal to the Targaryens. Only because Daenerys seems like she would be a fair leader. And she has dragons of course. I would have said the Starks as a second choice, but there aren't that many of them left, and I don't see them winning the Game of Thrones anytime soon. It would be best to choose the house that has the highest chance of surviving the war.
To me the geography of Game of Thrones is very similar to Europe - in my mind The Wall is Scotland, Kingslanding is London, The Greyjoys are from Cornwall, Eyre is the mountains of Wales and so on.....I'm a Northern Girl born and raised in North West England so I'm a Stark!
There's too much blood in the game of thrones. I would be loyal to no one and live in Braavos. I would work as a guard at the top of the Titan, with a stash of books and food up there, watching the ships go in and out the port all day.Oh, but if you still want me to ask who I'll be loyal... It depends. If it's out of principles I would probably follow Daenerys everywhere she goes, like a lotal Targaryen follower. But I'm not a fighter, I would probably die very quickly if trouble finds me, so if I'm worried about my safety, I would probably prefer to live in... Oldtown... or somewhere in Dorne! They seems like the safest places to me, and the dornish are loyal to the Targaryens too. Even Lannisport seems like a safe city so far, but I despise the Lannisters too much.
Besides, the dornish seem to me like respectful and good people. They're the only ones who respect bastards and the females in the line of succession.
So yeah, I like the Starks, I love the Targaryens (some of them at least), but I'm pretty sure I would choose the Martell.
Martell all the way. It's my favourite house by far and Doran is a just and caring ruler. The Martells are also in charge of the seemingly friendliest and most tolerant people in Westeros, in what is for me its most exotic region.
Agree with the above posts. Women (and bastards) can live better in Dorne. The children are being raised together noble or not in the Water Gardens. Very egalitarian society. I'll take any Dornish bannermen. The Daynes sound interesting as well. Or the Manwoodys. Love the name too :p
Lannisters hear me roar ,Tywin was my favorite character he had a shrewd ruthlessness that i liked so i would stay loyal to the house lannister
You know nothing, JonSnow. (Always wanted to say that! :D)Tywin was probably the best leader of them all in the books. And by "best" I mean most capable, not necessarily most likeable. The only flaw he has IMO is his unfairness to Tyrion (who happens to be the best of his children... up until Jaime's catharsis into an honorable man, anyway). And the Red Wedding is simply another example of his greatness. He knew he couldn't defeat Robb on the battlefield, so he engineered another solution. Attack your enemy where he is weak, not where he is strong; Sun Tzu at his finest. ;)
I'm loyal with the Starks. Always and forever will be! Don't mess with a zombie mother (aka Catelyn Stark)and skinchanger children! :D
I was originally a Stark bannerman and am still loyal to them but considering the cuurent plight of the house I am rooting for an eventual return to Targaryen rule.
I love the Tyrells, but they are not top-tier players, i.e. they are at their best in supporting roles. So I would support the Targaryens - I just love the crazy, incestuous bunch. Fire and Blood ... and Dragons!
House Baratheon for me they are the current true heirs to the Iron Throne plus I would get to hang out with Sir Davos and Salladhor Saan
Targaryans, Martell, Tyrell and Greyjoy. They have cool sayings, plus they allow women warriors...good enough for me!
Unbowed. Unbent. UnbrokenI'm a Martell through and through. I mean, I really like both Daenerys Stormborn and most of the Starks as characters but when it comes to the houses in general I'll go with House Martell.
They are the only ones who doesn't discriminate the bastards and they accept women in the line of succesion. They're wise and sneeky.
I would be a bastard Snow born to live and die on The Wall. A Night's Watchman. Winter has come and I willing say my vows before the Old Gods and New."Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come."
In no particular order... Tullys, Tyrells, Baratheons, obviously Starks. I think I'd have to be a bannerman of the Riverlands, the North, or the Stormlands. The Greyjoys and Lannisters also interest me, despite their dispicable and savage ways. The Martells and Arryns are decent but not significant enough for me and just seem a litttle wimpy.
My least favorite is by far the Targaryans (hope someone doesn't kill me for saying this) and the lands across the narrow sea just aren't that cool. I mean really just give some teenage girl dragons to take over the world and conveniently the most loyal and best sellsword army in the land (Daenerys is overrated).
1. Dorne. Probably house Dayne of starfall or the martell a of sunspear. 2. Hightowers
3. Tyrells.
Notice how all my houses are far south. I want nothing to do with ice zombies and white walkers. Ha!
anyone who'll make sure that Daenerys doesn't take the throne, lol. Starks (obvious, I know),Tyrells and in some wicked world maybe even to Lannisters.
Martell. The one thing that worries me is they seem to have a tendency to let a passion for vengeance get in the way of good decisions and that could prove bad for those who support them. But maybe that is just a trait of the Red Viper and Sand Snakes.

(hovewer that does mean that Scotish people are eithe wildlings or white walkers, lol) i'm from Norfolk, east/south east of england which i guess makes me Dornish, so that would make me loyal to the Martells and Targaryans
just had a better look at the map and it looks more like i'm in the storm lands, so i'm in with the Baratheons. can't complain either way, they're all pretty cool

In fact, it's been described to have the roughly the same area equivalent of South America. But with the exception of Dorne, it does seem to have sort of the same type of geography/climate as the UK.
Also, on topic, I'd be loyal to the Martells :)
Westeros would have an area equivalent to South America? So, I guess if we translate Westeros to SA, Buenos Aires would be... somewhere in the Stormlands, I guess. Around Storm's End, or maybe exactly there. Uruguay can be Tarth, and the Patagonia would consist of Dorne and The Reach. Chile would be the Westerlands, Brazil the North... though that would be ironic, since Brazil has a pretty hot climate.
Anyway, I guess that means I live in Baratheon territory. Crap.
Stark! No question. My loyalty was with them from the first page and it will never waver. The Lannisters are just cruel and the Targaryens I just can't connect with. The Starks are honorable people with good intentions and they are the most relatable family IMHO.
wow, that is really close to spot on. i do like the idea that it is based on a massive England though (probably because i'm English), what with the wall in the north being Scotland, the position of the capital. The climate isn't 2 different, it's just more extream or exagerated, probably because of the size of the map.
It would be between Starks and the Martells. The Starks are such an honorable household and the Martells because they are all GANGSTA! LOL
Winter is coming! Seem like the only ones who are truly concerned about the others and not sitting on the throne! Starks <3
The map of Westeros reminds me of the UK in reverse; The Vale is Wales, only on the east instead of the west. And Dorne (Dorne was never conquered, but became one of the seven kingdoms through marriage, similar to the way Margaret Tudor's marriage to James IV of Scotland resulted in their descendant, James VI also becoming James I of England)) makes me think of Scotland, only south instead of north. Those north of the Wall remind me of the Irish. As far as the houses go, Tyrell or Martell would work, I'm a girl from the frozen wastelands of the north, and anywhere warm looks wonderful to me.
I'd have such a difficult time choosing, We are introduced to the Starks first, so that would make us partial to them. Then we are lead to believe that the Lannisters are their enemies... But are they really, I can't hate Tyrion or Jamie after book 4, and in between we are swept away by the Targarean Dragon Legend, the Dornish, and the Martells, and the relationship between Dany and Kahl Drogo. Plus we are caught up in the 3 way pull for the crown, and the nasty RedWoman, I have such a difficult time, I find myself wondering where would I be if I were one of these great families? Probably terrified.
