January 2016 challenge

Since for 99% of us, the next 8 days will be a major blur, here's the "official" posting of this months challenge.


For this first challenge of the year, I decided to go with an easy one.
This is the beloveded “Colour challenge”—the cover of the book must have the specified colour in it. Remember that you MUST link a picture of your cover to your post.

I'm in! I haven't done too well lately with completing challenges, so I'm determined to finish this one!!!!!!!!

I loved this challenge series last year (despite not doing so well at it). Count me in again!

Is it ok to ask questions about the challenge here? This would be my first 'color challenge'. What percentage of the book cover has to be the color? Is it just one of those colors, or all of those colors, or a book with each color?

Like J. D., I have the same question. Also, do they have to be all paranormal romance? I got me some dystopian science-fi's and thrillers. Also military and "clean" to check for my teenage son. And how many books per colors?

Each colour is for one book. And, as long as there is enough of the colour to be obvious, you are fine. could be red, black or silver (I have the book in front of me, and while it looks like there is a LOT of red in this picture, the actual cover has only the title in red. The bat charm is silver and the man's suit coat you can see is black.

has just a touch of pink (the girl's lips) as an example of a smaller amount of colour. Sometimes finding a book to fit a particular colour is difficult, so I included that one as an example of about the minimum amount needed. Although just the title or author's name will also work for a specified colour.

We are a group that reads PNR, UF (and many dystopian sci-fi books count in the UF genre). As well fantasy is allowed for our reading group. Plus, there is a rule instituted by Wyz that allow a MAXIMUM of 3 books from other genres in a challenge, so the thrillers and military would work. And just because a book is a romance, doesn't mean it has to be "dirty". Some military books (mostly in the dystopian and sci-fi genres) would classify for our reading purposes, since there is now an entire sub-category of military that are paranormal military. There are also paranormal mysteries (Dead Until Dark is one example of this, as are the books of the PsychicEye series--Abby Cooper, Psychic Eye)

I found myself with an issue. My kindle covers are different than the updated Goodreads covers. Had to reduce list anyways. Had gotten carried away. Greatly reduced. I have yet to learn how to do pics. First timer with other book readers.

Hi, i just wanted to say that when adding a book you can see other covers for the book. Its what i had to do, only came across one that didnt have it, i think it was to new of a cover.
