I read "Scarlet" for the 2015 book with a color in it, so I have decided to read the first book in that series "Cinder" by Marissa Meyer for this re-told fairy tale of Cinderella.

I can definetely recommend the entire Lunar Chronicles series, they are amazing! The last book, Winter, was one of the best ways to end a book series.I can also recommens Crimson Bound, Cruel Beauty and Gilded Ashes by Rosamund Hodge and Strands of Bronze and Gold by Jane Nickerson, which is the one I'll be reading.

Yes, it does!
Here's a fun graphic I found that shows quite a few YA retold fairy tales...

Strands of Bronze and Gold is my pick for this category.
I just read Ash and Bramble by Sarah Prineas, a fairly dark repelling of Cinderella. It was a bit slow moving in parts, but all in all, I enjoyed it.
I will read Leon Garfield´s retelling of Shakespeare´s stories Shakespeare Stories. I hope they can count for this category even if they´re not quite fairy tales.. I have had this book on my shelve for many years and my goal for this challenge is to read only the books I already own.
I'm thinking Never Never. I think this counts, right? It's a Peter Pan retelling, but not. From what I understand.
I have two options in my kindle: Hansel, Part Onel, by Ella James, and The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty, by Anne Rice, (writing under another name) . I think both are quite dark erotic romances, though.
Amy Beth wrote: "I'm thinking Never Never. I think this counts, right? It's a Peter Pan retelling, but not. From what I understand."Another great retelling of Peter Pan is Alias Hook. It tells the story of Peter Pan from Hook's perspective. I never thought I would feel so attached to this classic fairytale villain.
I finished The Lunar Chronicles in the entire month of February! This series took me by surprise and grew on me as it progresses. I can truly say that it's one of my most favorite YA series ever now. :)

Does The Enchantress Returns count? The whole book takes place in the world of fairytales and it's rather an explanation on why characters did what they did in their stories and their lives afterward.
I just finished Cinder the other day and really liked it. Totally not the normal type of book I would read but sure glad I did. Definitely recommend it. :)
I've already read the complete series of Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige (fantastic books), except the latest instalment, Yellow Brick War so will be reading that
