Hoping I can use The Winds of Winter by George R. R. Martin for this one, but that really depends on George! LOL
I'm with Teresa, but if that doesn't happen, I'll stick with The Crown, the final book in The Selection series by Kiera Cass.
Here are my options at the moment: "The Queen of the Night" by Alexander Chee, Tender, by Belinda McKeon, 13 Ways of Looking at a Fat Girl, by Mona Awad, Hold Still, by Lynn Steger Strong or the After Party, by Anton Disclafani. Here is the article I looked at:

I have three authors with books being released on the 5th of January, but I might wait for either Juliet Blackwell's new release, or Heather Blake's new release. One is due in May, and one is due in June. But, since I tend to walk into book stores often, and I get emails from several publishers...I might find something before then. For me, this is an easy prompt. So many books!!!
I'm seriously hoping for Martin too. Just finished re-reading the series, and I'm all geared up for a new release.
I am just going to be very lazy: I will just count the first pre-ordered book that has appeared in my kindle in January. It'll also allow me to go back to my Romance favourite genre for a while. Big Rock by Lauren Blakely.
I'm going to read My Name Is Lucy Barton by Elizabeth Strout. I have not read any of her books before and she has won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction. This book is about a woman's long stay in a hospital. It was published today and there is a long hold at my library! I hope to get it in a month or two, lol.
My book club is reading The Best Kind of People for our October selection, so I am using that for this task. It deals with a serious topic - rape culture - and it really made me think. While at times, a bit predictable, the author did throw in a few surprises. 4 stars!
I Would recommend Bookishly Ever After this is a book for those who love romance and can feel yourself as the main character. OrThe Hidden Oracle or The Hammer of Thor by Rick Riordan
