When I first got this idea, I made a google doc of books I was interested in for each letter. I did already read an A book because I am impatient, but I will start over on the first. I plan to read "Are You Still There" by Sarah Lynn Scheerger. I just finished "All Our Yesterdays" by Cristin Terrill and while it was predictable, I still enjoyed it.

Other books I was considering: "The Accident Season" by Moira Fowley-Doyle, "Adrift" by Paul Griffin, "All the Light We Cannot See" by Anthony Doerr, and "All the Rage" by Courtney Summers.

Looking back through my read shelf, the only one I would recommend that isn't in the middle of a series or something is "Anna and the French Kiss" by Stephanie Perkins which is a light read of teen romance.

Elizabeth | 1 comments I'd like to recommend Amy and Rogers Epic Detour. Its a teen romance book but it's good.

Sherry Lister | 45 comments Silly question...Many books start with The, do we drop "the" in the title or would that be considered a book that starts with T?

No I would drop "the" along with "a" and "an."

Sherry Lister | 45 comments Great! Thanks!! :)

Sherry Lister | 45 comments I have narrowed down my "A" book to either Asylum by Madeleine Roux or All the Truth That's Me by Julie Berry, whichever is available first from the virtual library!!

Melody Hill | 22 comments I have decided to start with An Angry Wife by Pearl S. Buck. It is pushing my comfort zone quite a bit.

Yay! I like pushing out of comfort zones. I have a feeling we will get a lot of that as we go :)

Ok I switched a books. Adrift came up as my turn on audiobook from the library, and I was doing a massive reorganization of my bathroom today, sorting through every little bottle of random hair product and forgotten foiled pills. I needed something to listen to and wasn't very far on my A book I was reading. I don't think I like it as well, but I'm already pretty far in and have to tackle reorganizing the first aid/medicine cabinet and linen closet tomorrow so I'm sticking with audio. :)

Kay | 31 comments I just picked up All the Stars in the Heavens by Adriana Trigiani. Then saw your alphabet group on Goodreads. Coincidence? Think not! Care if I join you??

Brittney | 3 comments I'm reading "Adopted for Life: The Priority of Adoption for Christian Families & Churches" because it's been on my "to-read" list for a long time!
I'd recommend reading All The Light We Cannot See! SOOO good! The perspective of children/adolescents during the war is just moving.

Melody Hill | 22 comments Because I read so fast, I've decided I need to read 2 books for each letter of the alphabet! I finished The Angry Wife by Pearl S. Buck (boring) and I have started After She's Gone by Lisa Jackson.

I love that it's making you grab things you have been wanting to read. That's how I felt: I had so many things I wanted to read for so long that I hadn't. This forces me to grab some of those. And maybe I should have gone with All the Light...I have been wanting to read it!

I thought about that too. I want to read 52 books so I average one a week so that would go perfectly to do two each, but I also have a book club that I have to fit in my schedule, so I wasn't so sure I could achieve them all. I'm excited to see the things you read!

Rokkan (rokk) | 8 comments I'm planning on reading The Aeronaut's Windlass for letter A. I do love me some Jim Butcher!

Sherry Lister | 45 comments I am still anxiously awaiting for "Asylum" by Madeleine Roux to become available from the library. I am next in line! I am also intending on reading "All the Bright Places" by Jennifer Niven this year as well.

Finished Asylum today. I enjoyed it. It's definitely quite different from what I usually read. That being said, it was a nice change. I gave it 4 stars.

Jennifer | 2 comments I just finished 'Anne of Green Gables'. I have always watched the movie and loved it but had never read the book. Such a wonderful story, great characters and made me want to read the rest of he series!!

Kevin Koppelmann | 76 comments If you are looking for a book Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians (Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians #1) was a great read although it is a series of 4 books I highly recommend it. I am still looking for a good A book to read but I think I plan to read Amnesia/ a novel / Peter Carey. I hope it is good as I've never heard anything about it.

message 23: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 10 comments I just finished The Affair at the Bungalow by Agatha Christie. I love her stuff....except I've never read any of her Miss Marple series. This is a short read (as I got a late start on this challenge), so a nice introduction. Oddly enough, I love mysteries but I never guess the ending. This one I did. A quick read but not my favorite.

message 24: by Kevin (new)

Kevin Koppelmann | 76 comments I just finished A Portrait of My Father by George W. Bush. Interesting book although it was a little bias GW admitted that in the beginning. I did not realize all the govt. positions HW held and the family history was interesting also.

message 25: by Kevin (new)

Kevin Koppelmann | 76 comments I read another A book Area 51: An Uncensored History of America's Top Secret Military Base by Annie Jacobsen Interesting history of Area 51 and all the purposes it has served. It was a little long and could've been shortened.
