Woolf scholar, Louise DeSalvo, published this early draft of what would later be called “The Voyage Out”, in 1981. DeSalvo wrote a long introduction to Melymbrosia: A Novelto trace the genesis of the novel and her thoughts about why Woolf revised this early version before publishing The Voyage Out.

I would recommend reading The Voyage Out first, before beginning Melymbrosia, as this can give you a baseline for comparing the differences between the two versions.
