I rate this book 3 stars as it wasn't as good as the previous one and took a while to get started. I found the beginning quite boring though it was important in-order to understand the ending of the book. I think that Esslemont needs to spend more time developing his characters so that as a reader I can care about them.
I liked Kiska's storyline( will she find Tayschrenn?) and I wasn't surprised by who her travelling companion was as I found that fairly obvious.
