. The book is mainly about 12 year old Astrid, but her mother is a librarian at a university library.

I just thought of another one! One of the main characters in Because of Winn-Dixie is a librarian. It's a kid's book, but it's fantastic and worth reading at any age.
I really enjoyed The Borrower. The main character didn't have an MLS despite being a youth services librarian, so we were even more alike than I had expected.

I'm a SAHM who volunteers at the local library, so I thought I'd look at librarian books. So "Dewey" works for this? I've been wanting to read it!
For librarians, there are three series I can think of:The Mobile Library series by Ian Sansom
The Miss Zukas series by Jo Dereske
The Portland (Or.) Bookmobile Mysteries series by B.B. Cantwell
Library Lover's Mystery series is sooooo good! Love it!Here are some of my suggestions:
-Cat in the Stacks Mystery series by Miranda James (features a male archivist)
-Lighthouse Library Mystery series by Eva Gates
-Bookmobile Cat Mystery series by Laurie Cass
I could go on....lol
If you like women's modern contemporary stories (whatever that genre name means), Forever Interrupted by Taylor Jenkins Reid has a librarian protagonist. Good story too!
In Big Stone Gap, Big Cherry Holler, and Milk Glass Moon, the main character's best friend is a traveling librarian.
Summer Hours at the Robber's Library is about a librarian. I also read a children's book that featured a traveling librarian the book is That Book Woman.
I'm reading The Good Sister right now, and one of the main characters is a librarian. Also in You Love Me, the 3rd in the You series by Caroline Kepnes, Joe volunteers in a library, and the titular "You" is a librarian.
The Book of Lost Names is about a librarian too.
The main character of this book is starting a secret banned books library out of her locker and starting her own illegal locker library. Ban This Book by Alan Gratz
