What do you think will happen in the second book Crooked Kingdom? What are your theories for this sequel?

Well Kaz will rescue Inej for starters. Maybe pluck some eyes out while he is at it.

We will see some Nina and hopefully her recovery. And fluffy scenes with her and Mathias.

I'm pretty sure Kaz is gonna kill ALOT of people. Like loads. He is going to need a new nickname.

Does anyone know why they changed the title from Empire of Crows to Crooked Kingdom? It seemed like it was just announced and then it got changed.

I didn't even know it was originally Empire of Crows. No idea why it changed.

I agree with you guys, although I have a feeling Inej is going to go through a whole lot during this rescue mission trying to free herself. I'm excited though because it means a lot of growth for everyone in their group! It's going to be epic!

I sure hope we get to meet Nikolai and employ the use of his aeroplanes to rescue Inej. But maybe we can get to see Shu Han, too! Dark rain forests and pagodas and gambling houses where men have long fingernails and pet komodo dragons.

Plus, Alina Starkov is a saint. I'm sure Inej would love to meet Sankta Alina! :D

Yes, definitely! I find it so shady that he was the only one who didn't get his own chapter. I don't trust it. I really like him, but Leigh probably did it deliberately for some reason and I want to know why. Hopefully, we'll find out in Crooked Kingdom.

Ooooh. Please no, I actually love Wylan a lot. I didn't think of that before, but now that that's been brought up, I'm kind of worried about something like that.

Mentions of Nikolai and Alina and even ZOYA, for god's sake, made me emotional. I really do want to see them, even just for a little bit in these books.

Of all, it's hardest to ignore Nikolai. In the end of the trilogy it sounded like he had a bit of free time on his hands.

I'd also love to see Shu Han. Maybe it's like turn of the century Hong Kong. I think it'd be very moody with opium dens and gambling houses, rickshaws and the like. And dark green rain forests in misty mountains with pandas. Though we all want to go back to Ravka, it would be awesome to see Shu Han, too!

But The Too Clever Fox is number one on my list! That and a satisfying kiss from Kaz and Inej!!! :*

I have got Shadow and Bone in my possession now and will get to reading it soon. After I finish off two more books.

Yes Nikolai is definitely the top of my list too!! And I don't doubt that we'll get something form Kaz and Inej sometime by the end of the book. At least I really really hope we do!! Also could Jesper and Wylan get together already please.

Yeah it is different. But I loved the Grisha trilogy a lot still!

Kaz is so film noir, Leigh needs to do an ending like Casablanca and rework it so it looks like Kaz is going to be selfish but turns out to be the hero.

Oh, absolutely, she's magnificent. I just meant that it's first person and the cast is smaller, and the story works through the adventure of a trilogy rather than everything working up for one moment like a heist.

I've been reading a lot of first person lately, I'm fine with it now. I used to not like it but that's changed is haha. I'll give it a go and we'll see.

I need Jesper and Wylan to just kiss already. Same with Kaz and Inej. Also I just want another amazing heist because that's why I read the book originally - heists are everything.

Leigh knows how much we all want that. That's why Kaz' tragic flaw was so genius. She knows how to build the tension and give us the payoff. :D

The black pages on Six of Crows are just another one of the reasons why it's so awesome. Leigh puts so much into her books! :D
