Mark Wilkerson (theexpatriate) | 204 comments My, what a terrible year 2016 was in general for so many! I had so little time to read for pleasure this year, though when I did, I read far more magazines (The Atlantic, Foreign Affairs) and trade publications. I also got stuck on some difficult reads that I did not enjoy. After three in a row, I stopped instead of moving on to the next one. I started fresh, though, and I ended strongly, with a real vacation and some time to relax and just read.

19. Danny the Champion of the World by Roald Dahl Danny The Champion of the World - Roald Dahl

20. You Shall Know Our Velocity! by Dave Eggers You Shall Know Our Velocity - Dave Eggers

22. The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins The Girl on the Train - Paula Hawkins
