This is where I'll post about the books I'll be reading in 2016. I'll add ratings and reviews if available.

The first book I finished in 2016 is... *drum role*: Sputnik Sweetheart by Haruki Murakami.I loved this book. I highly recommend it. 5 stars. My review is here.
Since the protagonist, Sumire, is attracted to someone of the same gender then it also goes as part of my bingo challenge! Definitely a bonus!
I finished The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. I really liked it; it was a toss up between 4 or 5 stars. I eventually settled on 4, because though the writing was amazing, and the plot was great, the pace could have been a bit faster. No review yet.
Great books in 2016 so far!

Same opinion Charbel!
Same opinion Charbel!
Charbel, glad you liked The Goldfinch. It's now a favorite of mine . I felt so much for Theo and loved Hobie and Boris .

I was way too invested in how things worked for Theo, and Hobie was the best, but I have mixed feelings about Boris (if only because of that plot twist towards the end).
I finished Memoirs of an Imaginary Friend by Matthew Dicks. 5 stars. My review is here. I really recommend it.
I finished The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner. I had to give it 5 stars. It was brilliant; I absolutely loved it.

Leslie- me too! It makes me happy when someone likes a book that I like, because thenI feel that the book got credit that it deserves.Laura- I didn't think I would love it so much, but I just couldn't stop thinking about it when I wasn't reading it. The Compsons felt so real.
Finished Tess of the D'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy, 4 stars. 2016 seems to be a great year for books!

I finished The Holocaust Industry: Reflections on the Exploitation of Jewish Suffering by Norman G. Finkelstein. 5 stars. Very well researched, well cited, and overall an informative read. My review is here.
I finished Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks. I gave it 2 stars. This was my first Nicholas Sparks book, and I wasn't too impressed. I picked it up because a friend recommended it to me; but honestly I wasn't expecting much to begin with.
The biggest flaw was that the book couldn't decide what genre it wanted to be: is it a thriller romance? is it supernatural?
The ending didn't really fit into the whole scheme of things.
Aside from that the dialogue was cheesy and the writing tedious.
