You might check out my new middle grade novel Shaky Man. It is about the unlikely friendship between two boys, one white, one black, growing up in Central Texas during the 1960's. They learn to deal with the turbulence of the times - racism, intolerance and misunderstanding - through their common love of laughter, baseball and Star Trek. There is even a murder and a trial, to boot.
