You can't deny the bromance between Jesper and Wylan. Do you like them together? What are your thoughts?

I think I might see a romantic relationship coming on, but I don't know if I would ship it or not. I'll see how things play out in the next book.

I definitely see a romantic relationship between them, there was so much flirting! Six characters and three couples, it couldn't be more perfect.

I don't know if it was necessarily flirting what Jesper was doing because he's just a generally sarcastic person and he's always joking around. At this point, it's hard to tell if they are headed toward a bromance or a romance, though I could see it becoming romanic.

For me I think it could be seen both ways. If a romantic relationship develops it could easily be seen that it started with all their interaction in this book. But if it doesn't than obviously it just turns out to be friendly banter and it's just a good friendship between the two.

"If only you could talk to girls in equations." [...] Wylan said, "Just girls?" Jesper restrained a grin. "No. Not just girls." It really was a shame they were all probably going to die tonight.


To me, that made it obvious that Jesper is bisexual and that there's chemistry between them. It's totally okay if you see them as just friends. But I feel like there were enough hints of 'something more' to ship them :)

Totally agree, Jesper is definitely bisexual. He made it quite clear. :) I thought that there were hints in the book that he liked Kaz. Did anyone else see that? But Kaz has Inej so I bet he does end up with Wylan.

I think you're right Amber, there seemed to be almost as many hints that Jesper liked Kaz as with Wylan. But I think the feelings are only definitely one way. Besides he and Wylan were so funny. And exactly, Kaz has Inej.

Yes I definitely think he had feelings for Kaz. But it isn't mutual, so I think he will end up with Wylan, who is (in my opinion) attracted to Jesper, while Kaz isn't.

Yeah, I definitely think Jesper had/has some feelings for Kaz, but there are so many hints that Jesper and Wylan are going to become a thing. I ship them so hard lmao. If no one else but them ended up together, I would be fine with it tbh (though I definitely don't want that because I'm the biggest romantic ever).

I can't tell whther they want to put the "b" in bromance or take it out all together. I like bromances but yaoi isn't really my thing. They're pretty cute as friends. And when he says "not just girls", he might not have meant it like that. I don't think he was even saying using equations to get girls to like you, maybe just to do what you want. He is an outlaw. :-) He loves his money and he loves gambling.

I could sense Jesper's emotions toward Kaz too, but I those feelings will go away or already have because of Wylan. I feel like they will be a thing later in the series :) I'd like that very much haha

Me too! :) Wylan seems to like Jesper already, and I think Jesper is over Kaz soon (if not already) and he likes Wylan too :)
They need to happen, shipped them since they basically started talking to each other

That Jesper and Wylan snippet Leigh Bardugo posted on her twitter the day of the Crooked Kingdom cover release though...I was both fangirling so hard and thinking, "Jesper!! Ohmygod!!"

Everyone says Jesper had a thing for Kaz, but I thought he had a crush on Inej at first. Am I alone here? It just seemed that way to me.

100 years late, but the "someone shut her up or I will", couldn't it be about Inej? since she's captured, and it could be Van Eck's men talking or something?

I was wandering the same thing and thinking that it will be a love triangle and that Inej will choose between Jesper and Kaz. And then I was like waaaaait a minute... What if... After that, the rest of the book I was sure he had a thing for Kaz.

I think Jesper maybe had a thing for Kaz, but then Wylan showed up and I need them to be 500% endgame. I definitely think Kaz & Inej are low-key endgame too.
