I'm looking for a paperback book I read as a kid. Illustrated with pencil sketches. Published in the 50s 60s or 70s about a boy who meets a magical, mysterious lady who's hair floats when magic is beginning to happen. He and his friend (a girl) travel to the woods where they find baba yaga's house. (Cabin on chicken legs)The boy learns to fly with the help of the mystical lady and in the end, we find he had some tragedy like his mother died or was very sick? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
