I don't think it has to directly include topics of feminism and gender equality, but it should incorporate it in some way, even if it's small.
Thank you Noah! I guess I think so too... It's just I would really like to share this book with the group. It has amazing messages.
I think it would also be neat to read books which focus on the opposite of femininity and gender equality, so that we may realize and appreciate just how big the flaws in society are at the moment, and we may pick up on the things which really need to be changed. The Odyssey is a good example of a traditional epic poem which I have always had issues with.
Maybe will be a little bit of both, of course several books will refer to equality & related, but we could also choose different books for reading.Hope everything's alright in Chile, regards from Mexico!
Hi Amanda from a fellow Latin American (Salvadorean)!! I think your idea or suggesting other books that are not only about feminism and equality is great, although I think the main point of this group is for us to read the books Emma puts on the shelf so we, as a group, discuss them at the end of the month. We can still read other books, but I'm not quite sure if bringing these up in a discussion will work out for the group since not everyone will have a chance to read them. Thank you for the book suggestion!Besos y Abrazos

There's one question I've got to ask first, though. Does every book we read have to include topics of feminism and/or equality, or shall we also read other kinds of books? (I suppose I'll try for them to be about equality for the most part, but I'm asking this because I'm reading an excellent book right now by British author Tim Lott, called "How to be invisible", and I'd like to know wether I can participate in the first session with this book.
I hope someone reads this and answers my question :) it'll be lovely to meet some of you through Emma's brilliant idea!!!
