What age would you recommend this book for? Do you find it suitable for a teenager?

I mostly agree with Bethany. Although, I'm not sure I would suggest 16. It depends on the individual and their own personal experience. Sometimes a youth is exposed to graphic reality at a very young age, but that doesn't necessarily make it relative. This book is extremely graphic and mature.

I read this book last year and i was 15. I really loved it and understood it. This book is AMAZING and is my all time favorite book. I'm pretty mature for my age. This book was very inspiring and emotional! I even read the second one!

Anyone really. Different books require different maturity. Teenagers vary widely in maturity.

I agree with GreyJect. Some ages are introduced to much more graphic content than this book. I read it when I was 17 and I couldn't put the book down. I'm at my 3rd go around and I still love it and fine more bits that I didn't understand when I read it the first time.
