I guess one can't disagree with that. Thanks for reviewing and introducing me to yet another poet I hadn't heard of, Alarie.

His poem, “Con-spic-u-ous,” in which he exacts quiet revenge on a homophobic father, is worth the purchase price. My second favorite poem of the book is more a universal reflection on life: “Who Hasn’t Contemplated Civil Disobedience Stuck Behind a Tractor Trailer Carrying Chickens in Dobson, NC.” I also enjoy his sometimes amusing, touching, or ironic poems about his young daughter Sawyer as she discovers the world. Surely Sawyer is another poet in the making, or philosopher, or activist.
