John Khoury | 14 comments checking it out now! Interesting subject. (I love meat). I was just talking with someone today about eating raw meat and how that's possibly more taboo than actually harmful for you. I'll assume our ancestors ate raw meat often enough. And I'll go into your book with the assumption that meat, in general, is good for you... we'll see if you validate or reject that ;-)

Marta Zaraska | 5 comments I hope you'll like the book - although as I write in the chapter about the taste of meat, you may find raw meat completely devoid of taste. Even animals (chimps, mice) prefer cooked meat!

John Khoury | 14 comments oh, interesting. I just ate some raw ground beef this evening (just a bite)(my wife gets mad at me for that for some reason - maybe the taboo I mentioned) and I find it tasty. I can imagine chicken is a different story. Love raw fish, obviously. But, yes, I too prefer cooked meats. Already a good topic of conversation.

Marta Zaraska | 5 comments Your wife may be right, I'm afraid. Uncooked meat = health risks (potential food poisoning).

John Khoury | 14 comments My wife is always right, Marta. That may be a more general statement... but I don't get it. I guess I'll have to read your book to find out.
Good luck with it!
John
