Hello, I love your name. Great list.

Jim Crocker | 28 comments I'm working on espionage thrillers and on paranormal fantasies. Both under different names. Another one I like is crime fiction.

I have a bulletin board that I call my inspiration board on it I have images or artwork that visually speak to me about what I am creating at the time be it a images for a costume design or an artist I am writing a paper about. When I need some fresh ideas I remove the pictures and put them in my inspiration notebook for future reference

Pete Morin | 38 comments These days, the stories that are posted as “news” on Facebook are stranger than fiction.

Just saw one this morning about an Alaska “judge” who called upon the FBI and US Marshalls to arrest all of Congress and the President.

Good short story material there.

A while back, there was a story about a UK author who clobbered a reviewer with a wine bottle. He just got sentenced.

A fun short story came out of that one, posted for free on Scrib-D:

Skye | 148 comments I am inspired by my senses, but most particularly, auditory; music of all kinds ( including opera) is my muse.

Pete Morin | 38 comments The current political campaigning has a lot of material, but I don’t write horror.

message 13: by Jim (new)

Jim Crocker | 28 comments Yes, The current political situation keeps on getting weirder and weirder. It truly is a horror show. With all that is at stake here, this is what passes for our national dialogue. This should all be on Who's Got Talent? The person who can stand on one leg and whistle longest wins. I just wish we could all go back to 1957 when aluminum foil and TV dinners were invented. And Ike and that other guy were in the White House and Elvis was alive (sort of). And cars had fins. Let's bring back fins on cars again. That'll fix everything.

Christopher Michaels | 5 comments i find ideas jumping out of books, movies, news or stories I hear fown the pub. History is a good one as well.

Skye | 148 comments I would like to label it a carnival; however, beneath the histrionics, the truth will emerge.

message 16: by Pete (new)

Pete Morin | 38 comments If you wrote a story about a filthy rich business mogul with a checkered past running for President on a campaign of insults, sexism, bullying and outrageously ignorant statements, and winning, it would be labeled “too farcical.”

It makes Ignatius Jacques Reilly look like a model of decorum.
