Finch chuckled and moved her cap so it was back wards on her head of curly hair. She looked around. "This place is alright." She said before she skillfully started to scale a giant tree. She hands gripped onto a thick branch closer to the top. She let go of the main tree and swung herself into the branch. She watched to two girls from her place on the branch. She found an acorn resting in a little hollow by her side. She grabbed it and dropped it above Ravens head. Once she let go of the acorn as hid in the leaves of the branch.
Raven shook her head and rubbed the spot where the acorn had fallen on her. "Ow," she told Finch, scowling. She headed over to another tree, looking around. "What sort of animals are in here?" she asked, studying the branches and the leaves.
Finch quickly climbed higher. She let out a quiet gasp as the thin branch under one of her feet broke. She quickly regained her balance.
Raven, shaking her head, decided to head deeper into the forest. She was hyped for some adventure and so far the forest was the only way to provide that.
((Hello, anyone here?))
Raven passed a few bare trees and heard a slight snarling, right behind her. She turned slowly, eyes widening, and saw nothing. She started to tense up, her hand going to the holster on her belt, then cursed. She'd left her gun back at the school.
Raven passed a few bare trees and heard a slight snarling, right behind her. She turned slowly, eyes widening, and saw nothing. She started to tense up, her hand going to the holster on her belt, then cursed. She'd left her gun back at the school.
Finch heard it from where she was in the tree. "Raven!" She started running and jumping from tree to tree to track her down. She was silent and got ready to drop down on what ever it was. Her hand gripped her knife.
"Um… There's something in the freaking bushes!" Raven called back. As she spoke, a wolf emerged, growling, its eyes narrowed. "Well shit. I'm dead."
Finchs eyes lit up, she had away with wolves. Since her parents were always in the bush they had a few of their own. She jumped down andlanded right beside Raven. She threw her knife away.
"What the hell are you doing? Do you want to die?" Raven asked her, her voice shrill with fear.
Finch glared at her. "No. I grew up with wolves. We lived in the bush looking for birds so we ran into a lot. We took SOME in. Others are too wild but didn't attack us." She said the last part through gritted teeth.
"Oh my god, you've got to be kidding me," Raven said, still terrified. "I'm actually going to die. Crap." She wanted to escape up to a tree but didn't have a chance.
The wolf was still snarling. "Drop you weapons. He knows you have them." She didnt take her stare off of the wolf. It lunges forward, Finch also did. She gave it a kick to the side of the head. It staggered back and snarled at Raven.
"I don't have any weapons," Raven shrieked, scrambling away from the wolf. "If you're so good with wolves, stop them!"
The wolf could tell Finch wasn't scared. Dominance. It lunge bowling her over and on to the ground. Finch held in a hell of pain and twisted her head around to look at it. She kicked a leg into his stomach and it rolled back in pain. It bit her arm and shook it. Finches eyes lit up and she punched it in the nose. It rolled back and she jumped it. She held it neck and legs. It thrashed and she shook it's neck. Her arm was bleeding but that was the least of her concerns. It tried to bite her again and she smacked it and threw it across the clearing. It landed hard and stood it didn't come to fight back, Finch was in charge now. It's neck and shoulders were ripped and bleeding. "God." She hissed and held her arm.
"Well, damn, Finch, for a bird you are pretty darn strong," Raven said, her eyes wide as she took in the scene. "When does Señor Wolfy go away?"
Finch stood, the wolf flinched and ran into the bushes. "Just about now." Her arm was bleeding badly and she groaned. Her lip was split from when it bowled her over. "That was one of the wolves who is to wild to stay." She said and looked back over her shoulder.
Silver stood with a First Aid. She ran over to Finch. She started to tend to the wounds. "You know there is a different approach you could have done." Silver said while working.
"Let's get you to the infirmary," Raven suggested, pulling out a bottle of iodine and handing it to Silver. "Use disinfectant, you don't know if that thing had rabies."
Finch flinched when she pulled that out. Her eyes didn't leave it. She remembered that form when she was little and hates it.
"You can hold my hand," Raven offered. She didn't look too injured from the scuffle with the wolf, just a few scratches. "You did a good job. It was really brave, facing that stupid smelly canine."
"Can you walk, Finch?" Raven asked.
"It's just my arm." Finch stood up and brushed herself off with one hand. She walked over to her knife and clutched it him her hand. "We should... Uh... Get back." She said, shuffling her feet.
Finch looked into the bush where the wolf went. She felt drawn and wanted to find it.... Maybe even bring it back. She shook her head and turned back to Silver and Raven.
Raven patted her shoulder gently. "Let's go. You're bleeding."
Raven tried to be calm and confident, careful not to do anything to hurt her friend as she led Finch along. She was worried for Finch but didn't express it as she didn't want to worry her friend.
Finch narrowed her eyes. Some weird vibe came off of Raven. She didn't look at her so Finch assumed she was scared of a wolf coming back. She yanked a branch from a bush out with her not injured arm. She crumpled it and squeezed in her wounded arm. When it tensed more blood came out and welled around it each time.
"What's wrong? Loosing a little blood hasn't hurt me. It's been 17 years of it. And I think I can handle it." Finch said, that traveled some of her past but she could care less. She reached to snatch it back.
Raven looked faint from the sight of blood and pushed Finch's outstretched arm back. "I think that's enough blood for one day, don't you? Though it is good for clotting, constantly moving the wounds around doesn't help as you'll definitely loose some blood, which could disrupt the clotting process."
Finch rolled her eyes and listened. Two against one. She was gazing around the forest until her eyes landed on Ravens feet.
Silver threw the branch out of reach. "There!" silver noticed Finch was looking at Raven's and asked, "where are you looking at her feet?"
"Please stop eyeing my feet so that you can pay attention to where you are walking," Raven muttered to Finch.
