Rise of the Titans Rise of the Titans by Kate O'Hearn

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Finally, after almost a year of waiting, after almost a year of pain-filled, tearful, fangirly waiting, I have finally read The Book of the Year for me: Pegasus and the Rise of the Titans.

As readers might know, a good author can write a book that you'll finish. A great author will write a book that you'll love. And an amazing author, will write a book that you will never forget. Kate O'Hearn, is that author. Her first book, Pegasus and the Flame of Olympus, had me enchanted. And after I found out this would be a series, well, let's say I was one happy reader.

I've been with this series since the first book came out. I've waited a year for each book to come, and I'll usually stay up all night reading them. This series, I tell you, is the best. No other series, I repeat, no other series makes me fangirl like this. Actually, quite few books make me go all crazy fangirling. But those that do, well, you can probably guess what series they're in.

You can call me crazy. Believe me, my family tell it to me all the time. But when the new Pegasus book comes to the bookstore, I'm the first one to get it. I squeal and scream, laugh and cry, when I get a new Pegasus book. I devour the story like Lifesavers Sour Red Gummies (Darn I love those) but, luckily, I don't get a stomach ache from the book like I do with the candy.

You're probably getting tired of my speech, and want to read my review, but I'm a jerk so I'll keep on with my speech!

An amazing book is one that will last forever! One that will make you laugh at that same joke every time you read it. Or give you chills when something bad is going to happen. Even though you've read it more than a dozen times, you're still in suspense! That even though you already know the ending you still want to know what happens next!!

That's what the Pegasus series is to me. And Pegasus and the Rise of the Titans, the newest edition to my shelf family, hasn't let down the series. This time, the tide is turned! Saturn has his own Flame, you better believe it! And Emily is losing her powers!!

But, this is Emily we're talking about. She doesn't give in easily. Now, they must go to Hawaii to find the only thing that can save Olympus and all the worlds in the Solar Stream!! Before it's too late! Oh, please read it, you're killing me!

*Pulls damsel-in-distress pose*

Okay, I'm done now. Read it! Read it! READ IT!!

All in all, AMAZING BOOK!!! :D
