Gonna try to attempt more than a few buddyreads. This one is a short one, so I have hope! It's Addy, Adamus, and Terry aka the three amigos:) Feel free to join us! We'll be starting on Wednesday.

Yea don't worry about this one Addy I heard it's really interesting & since it's short we will probably bang this one out pretty quick definitely within a week at longest. What do you want to do with this one 3 Chapters a day depending how long they are?
Ok cool Addy. I'll probably start today or tomorrow. & yea Hellbound Hearts was pretty much the beginning to Hell Raiser. I liked the Hell Raiser series when I was young it was different from all the horror that was being put out at that time. When Clive came out he had a unique style to him.
Call me crazy but I was always freaked out by the Hellraiser movies. I don't think I've ever completely watched one. Don't worry though cause they are on my Netflix queue:)
Yea I remember being young & those movies were sooo freaky lol the characters were so different than your normal Freddy's & Jason's
Adamus wrote: "Yea I remember being young & those movies were sooo freaky lol the characters were so different than your normal Freddy's & Jason's"I wasn't a fan of Kirsty - too much complaining!
Hellraiser has always stood out from the crowd for me. Beautiful and grotesque. Pinhead is a character of such gravitas, not like his contemporaries
Thanks Michael and Terry. It gives me something to consider and makes more sense now. (view spoiler)
Lol yea in gonna start reading the next 3 Chapters in a few I had to work weird hours this week because of inventory so I couldn't read normal lol
That's ok. I'm having the problem of not getting hours now...lol. Lots of reading time. Take ur time though. No rush!
Well I just finished the next 3 & will be done tomorrow Chapter 9 I was hoping that Kirsty was gonna get away! I wonder what's gonna happen now with the box it seemed like Frank needed it. Hopefully she doesn't open up the box.
The movie actually does a really good job with the book I'm surprised. Normally movies aren't that good, but they did a really good job
No. I've always been freaked out by it for some reason, but no longer...lol. Tomorrow I'm watching it.
Adamus wrote: "The movie actually does a really good job with the book I'm surprised. Normally movies aren't that good, but they did a really good job"The first two films are pretty good - the others are a bit patchy, although I enjoyed watching them all. I love the cenobites :-)
Definately was a fast read. Does anyone know if Barker went on in any of his other books with the Cenobites? I know there were multiple movies after the first, but didn't know if there were any other books.
Terry wrote: "Definately was a fast read. Does anyone know if Barker went on in any of his other books with the Cenobites? Not that I know of Terry. Just finished! Wow, that was one hell of an end. Couldn't have been more perfect. I always find his short stories more enjoyable than his novels. Barker is pure genius sometimes.
To read or not to read? I'm gonna skip out on scarlet gospels. Reviews don't look too good. Maybe if I ever find it on a bargain shelf.
On this one I ignored the reviews, but as I say it was far from his best.Weaveworld is a classic of his if you've not read that.
I've got Weaveworld. How bout Mr Begone? That any good? I still need to finish The Great and Secret Show.
Yea Weaveworld I heard was one of his best books. I still haven't read it yet. I've been wanting to read that or The Damnation Game heard there both good. & I agree about the movies the first 2 are his best then the rest of them get weird I didn't see the 3rd one but I seen another 1 or 2 that came out later that I wasn't too fond of.
Clive Barker is one of the only horror writers I like that mixes in fantasy I'm not really a big fantasy person, but depends on who's writing it & how the story goes
