Anyone else read this series? I have been hearing good things about it so I decided to pick up the first book today.

Apparently another self published erotic romance author turned main stream. This was her first series. She has since started another with the second book coming out soon I believe. i saw it on youtube and have picked it up and put it down many times at BN. It's never at my used bookstore so I went a head and treated myself today.
I plan on starting it this week. possibly tonight so Ill let you know how it is. It's pretty short.
Shera (Book Whispers) wrote: "I'm on a break from any erotica/romance books. The genres and I have not been having a good time."haha, I'm usually not a romance person so I get to read all the oldies but goodies for the first time. but, yeah i do understand what you mean. This premise is similar to 50sog as well.
Yes, I'm very curious. Keep us posted. The GR friends with this on their shelf is overwhelming and now it's piqued my interest.
So far very cliche. I'm only about 25 pages in though. Will come back once I'm deeper into the hopefully existent plot.
back so far I don't believe the chemistry of the two main characters however, I do like that the main guy is a hacker who created his own business and the main girl runs a internet start up company. I think certain parts were supposed to get us hot and bothered and increase our feelings of electricity for the main characters but I felt nothing. hmm.
Shera (Book Whispers) wrote: "Oh, no chemistry! that sucks."Yeah, it continues this way. Everything is good except for the chemistry. I'm guessing she gets it right eventually seeing as there are so many in the series.
She said she wanted to write a strong female character. In some ways the main character seems a little teenage angsty when it comes to the main guy. Like okay cool he's hot so this means what exactly?
I find the main guys actions towards her to be a bit slimy but I know this is not how she meant him to come across again I think its because their chemistry is lacking.
Hmmm. I've noticed that my biggest gripes with romances right now are those overly obsessed insta-love leads. Where the girl just falls and there's really no reason why. And it turns what should have been a great female lead into a moron. Male love interests are jerks, even though it's supposed to be hot. They're mysterious which just means they're not fully developed and lead--and readers--never learn anything about him.
https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...Back I finished this today and these are my thoughts without spoilers. :)
I get a bit annoyed when a book is marketed as something its not. i really didn't feel there was anything D/s about this book. Nor did i find it to be Erotic/ kinky in anyway. A bit Vanilla if I might add.
