So . . . we know Charlie is creepy because we are reading his story . . . but what do you think about his charisma? Seems like he attracts women right and left. Makes me wonder how many charismatic people I know might simply be compensating for a dark side . . .
That's what I'm wondering. He certainly had no trouble attracting women. Even when Amy befriended him, he had old scrubs, looked sad and yet he still managed to find a girlfriend and have Amy as a good friend. He was definitely twisted. Attempting suicide but only if he knows he can be saved in time? Almost like Munchausen Syndrome.
I am by no means an expert, but was it his charisma? I think I remember one of them saying that he was easy to talk to because of his self-deprecating attitude. Misery loves company right? To many, he seemed harmless because of his dedication to his career and his innate sadness. Either way, his manipulation, clinginess, stalkerisms, and ultimate breakdowns were way creepy......
