Amelia (ameliosaurus) | 2 comments The hold lists for many of the books at the library are long, so maybe we could make a trade.

Are there other readers in Seattle who would want to swap their copies of ToB books for someone else's? If so, what do you have to trade, what are you looking for, and how about a meetup in the 2nd or 3rd week of February?

I can offer Ban en Banlieue, but I haven't finished it yet.
I'm most interested in The Sympathizer, but would gladly trade for many of the others.

AmberBug com* | 444 comments Hi Amelia, thanks for making the suggestion of trades!

Because the general consensus of the group is to keep the amount of discussions/folders to a minimum, I retitled this post; TOB Book Trade (generalized).

I'm in West Seattle, but I don't have print copies of any of the books. Mine were either digital or library books. However, I have some info that might help you. I just checked the King County Libraries website, and The Sympathizer is available at many branches. Seattle residents can get a KCLS card, but we cannot place holds. Hopefully, the book is available at a branch close to you.

I live down by the Narrows Bridge and I don't own any of the TOB books either, but I was in Third Place Books a week ago and I saw The Sympathizer on their sale table for $9. I'm next on my library list for it!

Neighbors (neighbors73) | 69 comments I borrowed Ban en Banlieue from someone who told me to just pass it on when I was done. Will mail anywhere in the US--so if you need a copy of it, let me know and we can arrange to exchange info.

If this offer is still good, I would love to take you up on it, and I'm happy to make the same pass-it-on pledge!

Amy (asawatzky) | 1743 comments I'll "ditto" Neighbors offer because I too have a Ban that needs to be passed along (dropped the same offer into the Ban thread without any takers so far)

I try to avoid threads for books I haven't at least started yet for fear of spoilers, so that's the only reason I hadn't responded to yours. :)

Neighbors (neighbors73) | 69 comments Mainon, I'd be happy to send it to you. You can email me your mailing address at neighbors73 AT yahoo Or, of course, a PM here. I just accepted your friend request.

I'll drop it off Tuesday since tomorrow post offices will be closed.

Hi, Amy. Just getting around to reading Ban and wondering if you still have it for trade or sale.

message 12: by Mary (new)

Mary | 2 comments I have a copy of Ban en Banlieue. I am happy to mail it to anyone who wants it. Please PM me with your address.

message 13: by Amy (new)

Amy (asawatzky) | 1743 comments I think I still have mine around as well (will double check tonight) so if Michelle is covered by Mary now, I'm happy to send to the next person!

amelia (plaidsicle) | 2 comments I have a friend who has started a tradition of passing along some of her ToB books to me when she's read them all, and then I pass them on again. I've got The New World and The Invaders still to give away, and I'm willing to mail them within the US. or trade. or whatever might work!

C | 802 comments SO I have a paperback of My Name is Lucy Barton and an Advance Reader's Copy of The Mothers to swap with anyone in the US. (I also have ARC's of long listers The Glorious Heresies and Lesser Bohemians if you're interested in those.) I can swap one or any number of these at a time for any of these that I'm searching for, listed below. The books I mail are yours to do with what you will! The catch is, I don't have a chance to get to the post office for about two weeks. I'd appreciate any help! Thank you!

I'm searching for:
The Underground Railroad - Colson Whitehead
Moonglow - Michael Chabon
Sudden Death - Alvaro Enrigue
We Love You, Charlie Freeman by Kaitlyn Greenidge
The Nix by Nathan Hill
Sweet Lamb of Heaven by Lydia Millet
The Sport of Kings by C. E. Morgan
Version Control by Dexter Palmer
Mister Monkey by Francine Prose
Black Wave by Michelle Tea

Mainon (bravenewbooks) | 91 comments I'd love to read your copy of All the Birds or your ARC of The Mothers, but I unfortunately don't have any of the trades you're looking for. :( But I could Venmo you the cost of shipping?

Well, if no one else has any of the books available to swap that I'm looking for, I suppose we can work something out, Mainon. I'd love to help another ToB fan out with these books anyway. :D
