It's not that I don't want to, I've just been unable to participate fully lately. I've only been checking in once a week or so on Goodreads. I enjoyed the ones I did, but it really only works with lots of participation and discussion.
Yeah, that's what I figure is the real problem, most people can't do it and we're not BIG enough to really do it. We had some good ones though, at least there's that.
Maybe instead of specific group reads we should just have a general group read topic, and everyone mentions what Weird Western they are reading. Maybe post their review, or ask if anyone else had read it and their thoughts, just something like that?
That was basically what I did for the current read and no one's really posted anything but Oddmonster. Which I'm not opposed to doing. I'll set up a thread or hell, y'all can set up a thread if you want, but as far as voting and organizing, no one really seems to have the time or interest.
I'm still fairly new here so I don't want to step on toes but maybe we should try picking one specific book for the month.
Not steppin on toes. If that's what folks would rather do, I'm happy to go back to that format. That IS the whole point of this thread. :)
Is there any interest in the group in doing a Summer Read or two? I know a ton of folks were swamped earlier in the year, so I'm wondering whether things slow down enough over summer to give it a shot.
Y'all let me know and I'll set it up. Or if you have one or two titles in mind that everyone wants, you're more than welcome to start the thread yourself.
I guess I'm way to late for the party. I've been writing a zombie western. Basically, my plot is a small town sheriff ran west to get away from the Confederate soldiers using necromancy. The last confederate necromancer that came west and he came into the same down Sheriff Jack Malone is in, and this time he's not running.

If so, would you prefer to return to single book reads or keep with the use of themes?
If I don't get much in the way of responses, I'll go ahead and forgo the March-April read.
