BUT not the Robert Harris I like.. feel scammed, but as this is the 2nd time I've fallen for this, it's only down to me...

However, amazon give an immediate refund, but it'll cost me the bank charges.. Will pay better attention, next tim.

Denizen (den13) | 566 comments That can be so frustrating but fortunately I can cancel without incurring bank charges. I ordered a classic translated novel through an email from Book Gorilla before thinking about who the translator was and whether it was the version I wanted. It wasn't.

Teach me to check for value, not just price... Think it cost me A$4 to NOT buy a book...

Denizen (den13) | 566 comments The Son is $1.99 today for Kindle.

"Philipp Meyer, the acclaimed author of American Rust, returns with The Son: an epic of the American West and a multigenerational saga of power, blood, land, and oil that follows the rise of one unforgettable Texas family, from the Comanche raids of the 1800s to the to the oil booms of the 20th century."

I gave it a strong 4 stars.
